If anda ask me, I think that she is usually front and center for a few reasons. The first would probably be the story involved. She is a rags to riches story that marketers like to advertise. She is probably the easiest to recognize, and has the biggest dress, which works well for marketing as well. It is all marketing, since that is the only reason disney created the princess franchise (money is always the first priority with these corporations). I hope that is what anda were looking for, and I hope I worded it nicely.
She's not the leader she's just put in the middle because her fairy-tale in the world ever but she's not the lead there are others who get to be in the middle like this one

Aw, mulan looks nice in her little dress and with her hair long.
IDK, if it's just me atau what, but that pic just looks so......"unnatural" to me. anda know what I'm saying? It just doesn't look right in my opinion.....
My guess would be b/c her Fairy Tale is probably the most well known one out there. I know she's extremly populer at disney World here in Florida b/c they have cinderella Castle. Plus I think people tend to identify lebih with her. Thats just my opinion though.
