TheCountess Awww!!! Thank you both so much! :D This was kind of a last minute thing, so I'm really happy that you still liked it. I didn't spend nearly as much time on it as I have with some of my others. As for enjoying the 4th, I just spent the day inside trying to avoid the heat and humidity. That, and trying to catch up with a bit of internet stuff, when not fighting with my computer. I could hear the fireworks near the lake and some in my neighborhood, but sorry to say, so did my poor cat. Loud noises (thunderstorms, fireworks, etc.) really spook her, and she either goes hiding under the bed, or she stays close to me and paces nervously.

MrsEmmaPeel lol. Aww. Poor kitty. I'm glad to hear that you had a fab 4th of July, Sharon. Mine was pretty good and pretty much the same. We didn't pop any firecrackers either and I pretty much stayed inside as well trying to keep cool. My brother grilled hamburgers, which were very good. For a last minute wallpaper I still think you did a lovely job. Great choice in photo selection.

TheCountess Thank you again! :D I'm glad to hear that you had a nice 4th. I'm jealous - I'd love a nice grilled burger. I think I just threw something in the microwave or made some kind of sandwich that day. I'm still trying to get cooled down, and my window A/C has been working extra hard. This past week we had a couple of days that made it over 100 degrees, and I think we're finally supposed to get a little break in the weather now. I sure hope so, because the coolest room in the house hasn't dropped below 83 all week. That's the kitchen, and even though I've got fans trying to get some of that into the other rooms, it's still quite a bit warmer in them. I'll sure be glad when I can open a window again! ....Those aren't tears on the icon - they're sweat. lol!

MrsEmmaPeel LOL!! Yeah, I guessed what you meant. I'm sorry to hear that you have been struggling with the weather. So have we. We have A/C and all, but it sure has been getting up in the high 90s and 100s and sure has made it get so hot that A/C doesn't stay off much until the sun goes down. We have been getting some rain lately which has helped with some of the heat, but we sure need a lot more to help keep it cooler outside. I feel so sorry for you and your kitty. I hope you both can make it through okay until cooler weather finally arrives. *hugs*

TheCountess Thanks, Chasity! I'm sorry that the weather has been so miserable for you too. At least you've got a bit of rain to help. Over here, we've had a few threats of storms, but they seem to keep missing us. Either that, or we might some thunder and lightning, but only a few sprinkles to go with it. Over the past month or so, I don't think we've even gotten up to a 1/2 inch of rain as a combined total. On TV, they've been talking about how food prices are probably going to rise, because none of the crops are getting the water they need. With the crops being in bad shape, that means the cost of feeding animals goes up too, and all of that will be reflected in the grocery stores soon. One news interview with a dairy farmer had him talking about how the milk production levels were way down because of the excess heat. It also showed him trying to keep a shower on the cows in the barn, so they wouldn't become further overheated. He said that even with that, it could take a month or more before their production nears normal. I feel so sorry for all the farmers in need of rain, and all those poor animals too. We had a brief break from the excess heat, but we've just started another heat wave here. It's around 9:30 at night, and with my A/C running full blast, it's about 85 in here. I sure hope it cools down soon, and that we get a good drenching of rain before all the crops are doomed. Sorry about all of that - weather just isn't the best subject right now. ...that, and I've got 2 appointments this week - one with a pulmonologist, and follow-up testing after my mammogram came up questionable. Needless to say, until I get the results back from the follow-up tests, I'll be a bit scared and worried. Anyways, *BIG HUGS* back!
