I realize that l could have watched Light's high school surveillance video on the hari he picked up the Death Note. He would have the evidence that Light is Kira and the answer to how Kira kills its victims. If he followed the thought that Light lost his memories of being Kira he can conduct when Light's personality changed. I just completed the OVA, "Death Note Relight 2: L's Successors". The fact that Mello was hardly in it upset me, but overall, I enjoyed it and found it to be quite intriguing. A lot of the focus was set on Near, and personally, I think he is the most interesting character in Death Note.
