“How are anda holding up?” Bonnie carefully tried to make a conversation. Elena rewarded her with a furious don’t ask stupid pertanyaan look. “You know, I’ve been trying to communicate with the spirits. Maybe I can persuade them to help you”
“No, thank you. I think you’ve done enough already” Elena replied cold.
Bonnie looked down and thought about leaving for a second, but then lectured. No lebih running, no lebih hiding. It was time to own up to her mistakes.
“Elena” Bonnie started, looking up again. “There’s something I’ve wanted to tell anda ever since I was released from the tomb” She paused to take a deep breath. “I’m sorry…I’m not sure why I waited this long to say it. I think I was trying to give anda space, wait until you’re ready”
Elena raised her eyebrows. “You think I’m ready now? anda think I want to hear your pathetic apologies now?” she snapped.
“There’s not much time left. If I don’t say it now, I’ll never get the chance” Bonnie explained.
“Oh, so this isn’t about me. It’s about you, getting a clear conscience before it’s too late” Elena snarled. She coughed and when she looked at her hands she noticed blood.
“Oh my God” Bonnie berkata breathless and she looked feral at the blood. “You…you want me to get a doctor?”
Elena coughed some more, but shook her head. She lied down on the bantal and closed her eyes. Bonnie believed that was her cue to leave, but when Elena heard the tempat tidur creak, she muttered: “Wait”
Bonnie sat down again and Elena slowly opened her eyes.
“Am I selfish for not wanting to become a vampire?” she shot her question. She knew Bonnie was going to give her an honest answer. She owed her that.
“What I think is irrelevant” Bonnie berkata after a while. “But if anda want to hear my opinion, I’d say that you’ve done everything anda could to be with Damon. Too much to give it all up now” She stood and left the room, leaving Elena to think about that.
