It is usually an extremist group that gives the religion a bad name and has broken away from the mainstream church/religion i.e. the Westboro Baptist Church. That group infuriates me with their disgusting hatred and ignorant use of the Bible.

I just hate it when people get mad at Gay people and trans genders. Also those cults and such. But other Religions I respect because God wants you to love everyone

its not so much that I am disrespectful of people if they are religious (some of my best friends are) but I think religion is a bad thing it pits people against each other and is the cause of almost every major war. once upon a time it might have been a good thing but now it is just something to fight about.

Well Christianity isn't a violent or war causing religion, and actually it's a relationship. Saying that you don't respect a religion is what starts things in my opinion. Like the WW2 invasion on Jews was because of no respect for their religion not because of their religion itself. And if anything it brings people together, I look out for my brothers and sisters because in God's eyes everyone is equal. Hope that clears things up :)^^^^

Some people from the Christian religion REALLY piss me off...Like Christians who justify wrongdoings by saying it's either in the Bible (where it's obvious to any SANE person that it isn't) or that God told him/her to do it.
Like the sick Christian man who burned men, women and CHILDREN (And I mean like little babies here people) because the Jews for being "witches". I mean, no offence and sorry for future swearing, but what sick fuck burns BABIES for being "WITCHES" when they don't even know how to talk? SERIOUSLY?
And I also don't like people who are prejudiced because their religion told them to...we could've avoided so many wars in the past if it wasn't for that type of stuff

I don't really have a problem with someone who is religious as long as they don't force it on others or treat people who are different than them like lesser beings, in fact I have friends and have met a ton of great people who are religious. But at the same time I can't see where religion itself does much good either. It causes wars, discrimination, and in most cases brainwashing. This doesn't really pertain to every religion but it does to alot.

And even if all that beauty wasn't enough, religion provides the world with wonder, with looking at the world and thinking, "My God," and meaning it. Where do you think that expression comes from? Religion provides pondering, musing, and philosophizing. Religion provides thought. Religion provides proof that we're alive in the first place.

I actually suspect that Christianity might be the worst one out there. In spite about what they say about peace and love, they are worshiping a god that promotes intolerance and orders the genocide of non-believers. It uses the fear of damnation to strip people of their ability to think for themselves and be happy with their lives. How many people continue to die because of the what is written in the bible? Christianity might be the worst thing to ever befall mankind.

I dont respect Alquida but that doesn't mean that Islam is to blame. All religions have people that take things to extremes and cause stariotypes for the followers. I think Islam is the most misunderstood just because most people don't understand it. When someone sees a veild woman wearing a hijab they think she is opressed, yet it is her choice and she choses to wear that to be modest (Nuns do the same thing). People need to understand a religion before they share their opinions, because most of the time their opinions come from false observations.

M<asterof fear, I think what you r saying about Christianity is really misdirected. Religion doesn't kill people, people kill people. I'm a Catholic who takes aspects from a few religions so I know what I'm talking about when I say that there are many Christians that I think take God's word too litterally. You can't just say that Christianity is to blame for death. Christianity does teach peace and love and when a Christian kills a non-believer I think it is a sin. But the religion is that of tolerance and love.

XxDestroyerXx even though I'm Catholic/Unitarian, I know how you feel. When Jahova's witness comes to my door I want to tell them to go away! But alot of Christians aren't like that, I always try to respect people's beliefs no matter what it is :)

I'm fine with all religions. Satanism? That's fine. Scientology? Fine! However, Scientologists who use their religion to get money? Not okay with that. But I am fine with people believing in and practicing Scientology.

It's really quite sad. I, myself am a Christian. It makes me sad, and angry, that other Christians are giving us a bad name. There are some people in other religions that tick me off, but aside from that, I do my best to tolerate all religions.

Beliefs in general don't bother me at all, as they cannot harm me. Beliefs aren't what make a person dangerous, their ACTIONS do.

I respect the people in other religions, but I don't respect the religions themselves as some of them are violent and say to kill all of those in other religions.
