I guess I would be willing, but I do agree with him from a Theological perspective. Personally, I disagree because who are we to judge someone else's decision and life?

If they are happy with not believing in a religion then it can't be empty

Ì don't think I live an empty life because I do not believe in an afterlife: quite the opposite. I have only this life so I make the most of it.

I just picked yes because cause that was the closest to my opinion. My opinion is that Athiests deffinetly live happy lives its just that you don't know how empty you are till u hav found that conection that inspires u to keep going :) But I do believe that they r happy but I know that there is so much more to look forward to than the grave :)

I've been there, so I think I can speak for both of them: No. I didn't feel empty, actually, I feel more empty now, as a catholic. I can't swear, I can't have sex with whomever I want to have sex with, I can get drunk, I can't hit people in the face... I can, however, condemn people to hell. That's pretty awesome.

I still do all of these things, but the difference is that, as a catholic, I now believe that I have to go to hell and meet all the other people that I have doomed. I don't think they'll be so happy when they see me down there...

@Yankeeplayer: As a non-believer, I still thought of an after-life. A very good after-life. I just can't imagine that it won't be anything after it, it doesn't make any sense. But that doesn't mean that God will be there with us.

No, but I think God in lives people who accepts Him brings them additional happiness. I'm positive about that, from my experience

There are people that are that only to be agaist religions and agaist their parents or to be different. Maybe they have an empty life, but I think they're boys or girls, not adults

No, and I've never understood the position that they do, as it's very judging and exclusionary. That someone else has a different purpose in his life does not mean that he has no purpose. Certainly everybody in the world can live very busy lives, as well as finding fulfillment in any of a variety of ways.

I'm muslim but I think being an atheists is a personal choice, To be fully comefortable with yourself and your life, religion isn't for everyone , being atheists doesn't mean you can't go far in life or that you're empty,It can be the other way round. Everyone chooses what makes them feel comefortable,as simple as that.

Atheists and Agnostics can have perfectly happy, meaningful and moral lives. It all depends on whether a person is balanced and sattisfied with their beliefs, and how able are they to give their lives meaning without the aid of religion.

I think everyone has a different belief system that can help them lead a happier life, because every person is different. I felt empty and unhappy growing up as a Christian because I was unable to feel a bond with the biblical god and was scared to voice that I felt that way. Atheism has brought me more peace and self-confidence in my own individual voice than I ever could have guessed it would.

I'm sure that religion gives some people the same joy that freedom from religion gives me. Aways stand firm on what you believe in, the only way to lead an empty spiritual life is to go along with crowd and let yourself be bullied into something you don't want.

What I was said has already been covered, but I'd like to point something out: It's not just Atheists and Agnostics who believe that there is no after-life. People of all religions and faiths and believe that.

Do I live an empty life? No, I wouldn't say I do. Belief, or lack thereof, has no influence whatsoever on the richness or quality of you life. Neither does it correlate with morality.

depends if that makes them happy or not. But I know how happy I am as a Musjewistian (muslim jewish and Christian) so I hope they're happy too :)

Not at all.
I was Atheist for a very long time. Then I found a religion that I believe in more. I feel no more full nor empty; it's just closer to what I believe in. Atheism is a belief. Any belief will keep one full. It doesn't have to be a Theistic belief.

Yes. I believe that in all of us, we have this void that we try and fill with stuff like sex, the internet, music etc. But none of that will ever fill that void. Only Jesus can; only when you have Jesus in your life can you be fully satisfied.

@MineTurtle5: Christianity isn't the only religion. I was Christian for a long time and I wasn't happy with it at all.

No.

Christianity isn't the only way to live life, and it's obvious that Christian views don't set well with everyone. People are allowed to live differently. Diversity is apart of life and we should all appreciate and accept it more often. Don't be ashamed of your differences, but at the same time, never let your differences divide us.
