i kinda wish there were stories with all of them, yeah ok we had a story with tucker but not with his brother and yeah story with dawns friends but we never actually had a consistant friend which im guessin she had

Yeah i would of loved to seen more of Dawn with friends or Buffys dad... I loved when he came back in Nightmares!

i mean i know he was a jerk a lot of the time, but it made buffy seem like less of a divorced kid cuz they hardly talked about him. i would've like to have seen more of him.

Im pretty sure neither parent was ever supposed to appear ever in the show but the studio wouldnt allow it or something so Joss made Hank crazy absent

yeah joyce wasnt meant to be a talking part or something but they really like kristine sutherland that she got a speaking part instead of just being there!

I feel the need to suss this out essay style;

Andrew with Tucker - If we had Tucker we wouldn't have gotten Andrew. I'm fine with not getting Tucker - who, to me, was forgettable - in favor of Andrew who is among my favorites.

Tara's Family - We had Tara's family and Family was a fantastic episode *hits self on head as I did not list this in my top five*, any more of her family and that episode looses some of it's clout and that side story becomes too much in an already full season.

Oz's Cousin Jordy - I don't really know why but not having Jordy ever appear just fits the Jossverse. Supernatural things are everywhere so Jordy is just Jordy and by adding him in it just makes him a bigger character and makes Oz's wolfness feel like a huge giant event (which it is) instead of that 'Oh...' that Oz passes it off as. Expanding on Oz's family would take away from his character.

Cordy's/Willow's/Xander's families - One of Joss' main themes was always a made family, not the one you are stuck with from birth. They needed to be absent to allow the characters to bond as they did. The lack of these characters is what gave us the made family that we grew to love.

Dawn's School Friends - This was, in my thoughs, an abandoned plot line. In season seaven with get a shot of what might have been the New Scoobies (and they could have been - honestly) and we also have a few of her friends that come and go. If we didnt' have the Potentials of season seven already sucking time away from the character's I cared about I might be open to this but the truth is, unless it was going to help spawn (lol) a spinoff or relate back to plotty goodness it was okay to leave it be. Also, Dawn's life lends itself to being a loaner, being somebody who can't connect because of what she is and what she know, you would need a sort of new scoobies group to make this make sense.

People Spike Sired - I don't know why but I just don't want to see it. I'm sort of just *shrug* about it.

Buffy's Dad - In addition to what has been said and what I said about the other families I think that it made Joyce a stronger character. Joyce is a strong independent woman raising two strong confident daughters. In the real world, without the supernatural, she is a hero. It's important that she can stand on her own and Hank needs to be gone for that to work as well as it does. It's not that Joyce can't have a love interest, it's just that Hank, from what I've seen and think, wouldn't fit.

Pike - Anybody read Letter's from the Underground? It's a comic in which Pike appears that I remember as well done. I think that if they had Pike it would have been a nice way to rope in the film with the show (sort of marry the two together, even though the show is superior). I wouldn't want him in right away, maybe in season four or five after Angel (in place of Riley?). I would have liked him to pop back in for a bit. Also, can you imagine the interaction of Pike and Spike?

This or Pike. Tough call.

Pike was Buffy's boyfriend at the end of the movie. Actually, I fairy certain you would like him. He's sort of like Spike in a weird way.

yeah he was put in a few of the comics but never even mentioned in the show! i always found that weird!

it would have been good to see spike's reaction if pike turned up in season 6 during the 'relationship' what with spike and pike being almost the same

This or Andrew with Tucker, though the whole reason behind Andrew was because they couldn't get the actor who played Tucker, for some reason, although I'm happy for that because I love Andrew.
