I loved Buffy,but I guess that the show was finished with dignity and 7 seasons was enough to love the characters for good.

All the cast have aged now (which wouldn't make sense with some characters) and I agree with @Laisalves8 the show ended with dignity. It's better to end shows on a high note rather than to let them slowly get worse and worse till they're cancelled.
