Just a short one-shot about Chuck, Blair and a limo. Because I'm a desperate Chair fan grasping at any moment of them together. Enjoy!
She likes the feel of the leather on her skin. It’s nice, and she’s missed it. She likes the purr of the air-conditioning and the soft sound of Chuck’s breathing beside her. She’s missed this. Them. Together and scheming again.
She supposes she should feel bad about choosing this over Nate and their new apartment but she can’t, not when she loves this too much to care. Chuck, Blair and the limo. A dangerous combination but Blair’s willing to take the risk; I’m doing this for Serena she chants to herself, as if she can somehow pound it into her head. She’s not doing it because she’s missed the smell of the leather, not because she likes being this close to him again. Not because she enjoys the look he gets in his eyes when they plot together, not because his hand is only inches away and she loves the way she can almost feel his fingers interlaced with hers. Not even because she feels lebih comfortable here than she ever could in an apartment with Nate atau because Chuck’s driver, Arthur, probably knows lebih about her than her own mother. No she’s not doing this for any of those reasons, of course not. She’s doing this for Serena.
Then, suddenly, they take a sharp right turn and Chuck falls heavily onto her and she doesn’t flinch back atau slap at his head but she almost smiles when he looks up at her as he pushes himself back up (a bit slower than necessary) because his hair is all mussed from the fall and his eyes are sparkling in a way that kind of makes her want to laugh and scream and ciuman him all at the same time. But all she does is glance testily at him and then look back out the window at the city drifting away behind them.
When they reach their destination Arthur leaves and tells “Mr. Bass” (Blair snickers at the title) that he’ll come get them when visiting hours begin. Chuck nods quietly and Blair notes the way his feet shuffle on the ground, almost nervously. He tells her good night and she nods back mumbling a “You too” in recognition. Then they turn at the same time and both lean against the windows.
She’s probably been asleep and jam atau so when she wakes up abruptly and sucks in her breath sharply. The window is cold and damp and her hair is getting plastered to her face she tries to go back to sleep oleh just sitting up straight and leaning her head backwards. As she’s thinking, ironically, that this most definitely the first time Chuck has shared his limo overnight with a woman and actually slept, she guesses that she drifts off to sleep.
Blair dreams that Chuck wakes up too and that she, half-asleep and almost dead to the world, shifts over and curls her body against his strong warm one. And she dreams that he lets her and that he shifts over to lean against her and it must be pretty uncomfortable for him with his head bent like that. Then she dreams that he takes her hand to pull her closer and she threads their fingers together tightly and then they sleep.
It’s a strange dream and Blair wonders what brought it on, but it’s neither unpleasant nor bad and so she smiles in her sleep and curls closer to Chuck.
