Bangel Do anda think malaikat agreeing to wipe Buffy's memory at the end of IWRY counts as a form of mind rape?

No. Something like possession would be a better example of mind rape.

Yes. It ruins the episode for me.

Sort of. It was an abuse, but the fact that it was done out of cinta makes it OK.

I've seen a few fans on the BTVS and Angel spots saying this, and I was wondering what your opinion would be.

Not at all, it was a selfless act of love. Angel just wanted Buffy to be able to be happy.

For a start, her mind wasn't actually wiped. Time was reversed. If anything, Angel was the one who had his mind altered with, being given memories of a day in an alternate timeline.

Also, it wasn't like it was his own idea. The Oracles suggested it and he went along because it was the only real option they offered.

Not at all; it was his humanity that was in question, so it's his decision.

^Exactly! He was the one who'd be most affected, so of course it should be his choice.
