oh i'm not just picking this because i like vampire spike, if buffy ended up with either i would be seriously pissed if they were human i would rarther have vampire bangel than human spuffy

Lol, debs. I don't think Buffy could be happy with a human, no matter if it was Spike or Angel. I think their strength, their darkness, is part of what made them a good match for her. Riley was the perfect guy, and yet she still couldn't commit to that relationship or love him.

I can see Angel human with Cordy, but I can't see the human Spuffy. I don't think it would work. Buffy would always be to busy worrying she would have to protect him, and that would cause problems, because he's use to protecting himself.

I think it would take a very specific type of person to be with Buffy and they need that bit of darkness, of being in the grey. I Will Remember You showed that it wasn't only the darkness that she needs but the ability of the guy/girl (season 8 now) to take care of themselves is also a factor. Buffy would protect them but it wouldn't be fair at the same time.

Yea I think you're right debs the human thing is more of a Bangel fantasy.

What I would like to happen is a way to become human and still retain the vamp strength. That way, Buffy wouldn't have to worry about protecting Angel, like in I Will Remember You. I've read a lot of Bangel fics like that, and I like the idea.

I think she could be happy with a human, but it's just more likely for her to be with someone who's not simply because they get her world. Riley didn't work out because he never really understood Buffy. Yes, he knew about her world, but even in the end, he was still coming to it from an outsider's point of view. Someone like Wood was better, but in that case there just wasn't any attraction there. I don't think being human came into it.

I'm totaly Spuffy, but I also strongly crossover ship her with either of the Winchester brothers (though more so with Sam). Human, but they totally get the world and the duty.
