It seems a lot of people here still aren't completely educated on the subject of gender, so I'm going to try my best to clear it up for the participants here who don't know. I suppose you're not to blame because most of anda probably simply never learned. I didn't used to know about it, either, and that also wasn't my fault.
First and foremost, male and female are NOT the only genders. Gender isn't just a matter of the body anda were born with, it's wholly a matter of identity. Of course, anda could also know that concerning the male and female genders, there are those who still identity as male atau female but it may not correspond to the body they were born with. For example, someone may have been born with a "male body" but feel that they are female on the inside, and on the road to self discovery can find that their true identity is indeed female despite the body they were born with. For anyone who doesn't know about that, those are referred to as transgender people. And people who DO identify as the gender they were assigned at birth are known as cisgender people.
BUT, let's go into genders OTHER than male and female.
The most important term to bring up here is "non-binary".

anda can kind of look at this matter like a color spectrum. See, there are the warna of red and blue, but not all other warna are a variation of purple. Gender identities can be viewed in much the same way, I think. What that means: red and blue represent the male and female genders. There are people who feel that they are somewhere in-between an identity of male and female, but not everyone is going to feel that they exactly fit there. The two genders that they identify with don't have to include male atau female, just any gender on the gender spectrum they feel comfortable with. Sometimes they'll use a different persona for each gender in order to feel lebih comfortable in different situations.
Genderfluid people are those who have no fixed gender identify found on the gender spectrum. Basically, they change genders depending on under which identify they feel comfortable at the time. It typically defined mostly as a psychological gender identity and not so much defined oleh behavior/appearance choices/etc.
Androgyny is when a person possesses both masculine and feminine traits. This can go for both physical and psychological traits. In some cases this can apply as their gender identity, but in others, those who seem androgynous can still identify as separate gender identities.
Intersex is when a person's reproductive atau sexual anatomy doesn't fit in with the conventional male atau female definitions. Often times if this is noticed in bayi doctors will operate on the intersex individual in pertanyaan to make them appear just "male" atau "female" when the bayi are too young to give consent to this.
