oh, i know. in Arata, i had read up to the part in the komik jepang where these two "brothers" were forced to fight to the death. i hadn't read past to the point where it turns out they were still alive. when i watched the anime, i was dreading getting to that point and was very thinking about how sad it would be when they would die. but then they were okay, and i was like "yay", i guess this tampil isn't such a depressing tampil after all.

oh good answer. that's another interesting question, characters who died in one timeline of a series and anda were thankful didn't die in another timeline.
