In many years past, I was taken aback and astounded at the incredulous decision to give Kim Carnes the puncak, atas award for 'Betty Davis Eyes' over the award winning (how ironic) Winelight album featured song, 'Just the Two of Us'. I have never been so mad as that example of poor taste in award giving. So, it seems, do many people share my emotion of yesterday with their criticism of Winehouse's selection today. Amy Winehouse has been nominated for 'Best Female' at this years BRIT Awards

According to Amy's official page the 'BRITS' have confirmed that this is the first ever posthumous BRIT nomination.

Amy’s Father, Mitch Winehouse said, ““The Winehouse family are delighted with this wonderful nomination for Amy. It proves that her musik still has an enormous effect on the public now and for the generations to come. We are proud that her legacy will live on forever through her incredible songs and performances and the many, many young people that are being helped through the Amy Winehouse Foundation.”

The 2013 BRIT Awards will be held on 20 February 2013. This will be the 33rd edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop musik awards. The award ceremony will be held at The O2 Arena in London, and will be presented oleh James Corden

Remembering Amy...

It's hard to believe (at least for me) that today marks one tahun since Amy left us.

Seems like it was yesterday when it appeared the announcement of his tragic death in the news, putting a sad and early end to a life filled with career triumphs and personal tragedy.

Amy left behind a musical legacy never to be forgotten with two albums in life (Frank and Back to Black) and a third posthumous realise (Lioness: Hidden Treasures) which debuted at No.1 on the musik charts in its first week. Many will say it was little, but the truth is that she accomplished what many have failed in his careers.

anda will be ingrained in the memory of us, and your musik will continue inspiring the artists.

Rest in peace Amy.
