the cat was a cowerd. Hatter and Chessur were good friends and then Chessur betrayed him and left his people when the Jabberwocky attacked Hightopps

The Chesshire cat just disappeared when the Jabberwocky attacked the Hightopp clan. He didn't bother to help because he didn't want to get involved atau even worse, get killed. The Mad Hatter was angry at him for leaving his clan to die like a coward.
