There's something I don't understand.Why when Katherine appeared in the last episode pretending to be Elena,nobody(Mikael,Klaus)found that she was a vampire?Couldn't they smell her....?

I know there're a lot of DE and SK fan and I'm one of them.But unfortunately I think that at the end E will be with S and K and D will be screwed (because SE started together at first,that's why I think they'll end up together).. :@
