Vimala Raman is an Indian film actress, model and a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She made her akting debut in the 2006 Tamil film Poi and went on to appear primarily in Malayalam and Telugu films.

Vimala Raman was born into a Tamil family in Sydney, Australia.[1] She was brought up in Sydney, where she completed her education. She started practicing Bharatanatyam at the age of five.
