Which would anda rather read?

I have a story I'm working on, and it's about a girl who is kidnapped then tortured endlessly(among other things). I also have two ways that the story can go, and I'm wondering which one anda guys think sounds better/ which one you'd rather read:

A- cliche and somewhat romantic, including Lima and Stockholm syndrome (Stockholm syndrome is where a victim feels empathy towards their captor, mistaking a lack of hurt for an act of kindness, and Lima is where a captor feels sympathetic towards their hostages), while still having the torture. Or

B-gore, pain, and sadism galore.

I know this probably sounds like a horrible story, but help would be appreciated. And, if anda think it's a horrible idea in general, fine with me.

As long as it wasn't horribly "love at first sight" and then her captor saved her and took her away and stuff, I'd say anda could do a lot with that, while still including gore and torture. Perhaps she's left unharmed at first and so the Stockholm sets in, but then one of the captors brutally tortures her and, upon seeing this, Lima occurs in one of the captors? I don't know. But sounds interesting either way, especially if anda could combine the two.

I honestly do not know if it's an official syndrome, seeing that I found it on Urban Dictionary, but it has happened. Thanks for the answer!

I'm glad youl ike it! I'd rather anda not write it, because I came up with the idea all on my own (and I'm quite proud of it!). I think I'll post it up here, and I can promise anda it won't be gushy/lovey crap. Thanks for the asnwer!
