Fresh off his Oscar-nominated biographical drama “Steve Jobs,” director Danny Boyle is already filming his next movie, and it’s a sequel to his acclaimed 1996 film “Trainspotting,” based on the Irvine Welsh novel of the same. The sequel picks up 20 years after the events of the first film with the main characters crossing paths yet again. Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as protagonist Mark “Rent Boy” Renton, Jonny Lee Miller returns as Simon “Sick Boy” Williamson, Ewen Bremmer as Daniel “Spud” Murphy, and Robert Carlyle as Francis “Franco” Begbie. Now, The Daily Mail has exclusive photos of McGregor and Miller filming the “Trainspotting” sequel in Edinburgh.
