Finally finished membaca all the buku oleh all the Bronte sisters! Whoo, glad that's done. Anne's definitely my favorite, but I like Emily and (mostly) Charlotte, too.
One thing I REALLY didn't like, though, was charlotte xenophobia, English nationalism/jingoism and anti-Catholicism. I'm sorry, but she was a fucking bigot, and there were times membaca her buku that I wanted to go back in time and bitch-slap her for being a dick.

i have decided to, in principle commit myself in holy union with the spirit of what the bronte sisters represent to me. the buku are moral, nonsexist and they contain extremely high wisdom. it is from an age that is long dead when people had honor and were dignified. they will be the only buku i will read for the rest of my life. diposting lebih dari setahun yang lalu
