I love Jo, but I don't hate Lisa. She made Dean happy. I think people don't like her because she was one who Dean ended up living with (for a while). I don't think Dean should hook up with a one night stand (actually a weekend stand), over all those other girls he actually fell in love with.
I love it when it's just Sam and Dean, but it would be boring without all the other characters like Bobby and Cas. Sometimes it gets boring with just them all the time.
I love Bobby and I love John Winchester, but I don't like one more than the other.
I picked 'I prefer S1-S2 over S5-S6 cos I loved the monster of the week episodes in s1 and s2, and liked the urban legends they used. That got me hooked to the show. If s1 and s2 was like s5 and s6 i probably wouldn't have continued watching SPN. I still love all the other seasons though.

I'm gonna stop talking my heart out now, and go eat. I'm hungry :D

I love ALLLLL. S1/2 is my favourite too, Jo is a MUCH MUCH better character than annoying Lisa, John is better than Bobby (though I do love Bobby) and Sam/Dean are amazing, though I prefer Destiel a bit more.

not really agree with all this picK...course i prefer jo to lisa but if anyone of them were there, that will be the same for me...john wasn't a great father, bobby is a better one (and i love john, don't understand me)
of course, spn is dean/sam but what happened with them without bobby or castiel or any of their friends, they're need them to exist
i love first and second season but really i love 4th season and 5th with the angels stuff and the arriving of castiel, best assist character of all the seasons...not really the 6th except for the last episodes...

To be honest none of the above really. S3-S4 are my favorite seasons , I prefer Bobby to John and I don't like Wincest but each to his own

But, I wouldn't necessarily say all of those are unpopular opinions...well at least not the Lisa/Jo one, because don't a majority of people prefer Jo over Lisa? As a Lisa supporter, it has certainly always seemed that way to me, but I could be wrong and I'm not trying to be offensive. And that isn't to say that I don't think you have valid opinions, though, because they are. I love S1/S2, but just love Castiel and Misha Collins and the angel storyline so that's why the later seasons win with me, but I miss the old Sammy/Dean relationship from the early seasons so I definitely get it. Also I get your John love, believe me I do and I was tempted to pick that one because I love John Winchester just as much as Bobby Singer. I don't understand all the hate John gets myself. He tried his hardest and did the best that he could do in a shitty situation. He loved Sam/Dean and even went to hell for his boys. That's a pretty freaking stand up guy and a great dad, even if he did make mistakes, if I ever saw one. And I love Sam/Dean, I don't ship it, but I love their love for each other. It is one of the driving forces of the show, hell the driving force of the show. It is also their love that saved the world, so it's a pretty special thing. And I don't think it's sick to ship them together. I may not ship Wincest, but I understand it and I have, at times, explored it. And I think it's ridiculous for people to get upset about it. Different people ship different things and some people don't ship anything, there is nothing wrong with it. People are different and everyone watches the show and sees something different when they watch it. If we all felt the exact same we would be boring as hell.

And wow, you probably didn't want all of that commentary on your pick...sorry, but you know I tend to babble :/

The only thing that truly upsets me about Wincest (personally, here; and I'm not saying EVERY Wincest fan is like this) is that it seems like a lot of the shippers are implying it's not enough that they're brothers and family; that it has to be romantic/sexual to mean something; that Sam and Dean can't possibly love each other as deeply and truly and strongly unless it's romantic. THAT is when it burns my toast. The driving force of SPN is brotherhood. Family. When people undermine that kind of love by twisting it into something sexual, it bothers me. It just does; I can't help it.

If you just love the pairing, like you love a certain flavor of ice-cream or something, whatever. I can live with that. It's only when you start implying that Sam and Dean's "brotherly love" can't be as deep or meaningful in a platonic, familial way that you'll have an angry Dearheart on your hands.

Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry. =P

Dean and Sam will always be the OTP of this show it started with them it will end with them, they may not be a couple but they are inseparable that has been proven time and time again.

I agree or partially agree with a lot of these actually.

1. I prefer Jo over Lisa as characters (Jo is tied with Charlie for my favourite female character), but I don't ship Dean with either.
2. I liked seasons 1-2 and also 5, I wasn't that keen on 6.
3. Agree with this. Even for those who don't ship Sam/Dean romantically, you have to admit that their relationship is the emotional heart of the show. And SPN isn't really about romantic relationships.
4. I like John, think he's overly hated. But I like Bobby more.


And I don't think most of these are unpopular or rare opinions. I think that the John>Bobby one is the only one which is really rare.
