Also, Kiefer Sutherland, who also did a phenomenal job with the role of Ace Merrill, had this to say about his character in this really neat behind the scenes documentary titled “Walking the Tracks: The Summer of Stand oleh Me” (which is found on the Special Edition DVD of the movie):
“He was just a bully, anda know? He was the worst nightmare — we’ve all run into them in school. He was a bully.”
