I didn't used to be until I started my own family. I have a very strained relationship with my mom and my siblings though

I hate to be the Canada, but it really depends...

My family is.... toxic. Probably abusive - at least in the past. A lot of love and affection. I dont particularly consider myself too much of a family type with them

But I am pretty close with my surrogate family, non-blood family of my oldest sisters friends, my band family, and the family of friends that I have. And Im not entirely opposed to having a family myself, even though a part of me is secretly concerned of being like my parents .-.

I can answer if I get it cleared over whether we are strictly talking like... our family or the activity of acting like a family.

I love the concept of family. Having people that would go that far for me would be nothing short of amazing. Which is why I am in love with a special quote.

Doesn't seem to start with it either as I don't really believe my family, who in some ways is just as awful and abusive as Rikus can be, doesn't get the right to REALLY be called family. I said to Riku one time as we were chatting on the phone while they were having one of their tantrums that "They are not my family. They are my circumstances I have to put up with."

I like the REAL family I have that is slowly growing larger.

Generally yes I am. I love the concept of family. Whether that is blood or surrogate. It doesn't matter to me.

Certainly, my Family is important to me. I am close with most of its Members and feel quite grateful for having them in my Life as they were supporting me all this time. Concerning its concept in general, I'll agree with a few above me and say that Blood doesn't make the difference. Regardless if we are Natural Relatives or not, those who get close to me enough can be considered part of my Family as well !!!!

I love them, all are very important to me and have helped me out greatly throughout my life, really happy of them being with me :)

It's complicated; in general not really, but with my younger brother and nephew I'm really close with them and take on a nurturing role.

While I am a family-oriented person at heart, there are times when they make me super annoyed!

hm, i guess not. i feel distant towards my family and i don't interact with them too much. that being said i appreciate them and we get along well enough.
