Most reports, unlike many that turned out be fake, follow the same lines: claiming the Devil is a kangaroo-like creature with cloven hooves, bat wings, the head of a goat, and a forked tail. It is berkata to be fast, and it's attack call sounds like that of a tortured horse; bloodcurdling and horrible.
There are many sightings involving this mysterious cryptid. One example is the sighting claim of Joseph Bonaparte, who claimed to have seen the Jersey Devil while hunting on his estate, around 1820. Not long after, there were dead livestock claims, and a tahun after that, lebih dead cattle and horses, with reports of screams.
The Jersey Devil kept people from going to work around the time the sightings were most active. They stayed in their homes, terrifyed of what would happen if they left atau let their children go to school.
