If anda enjoy fiction (movies, cartoons, anime, etc)How much realism would anda want in it?

For me: I would want some realism. I don't want something impossible like a normal human walking from New York to Paris in 2 mins.(Now I know I'm being ridiculous but it was just an example) That's ridiculous and would likely turn me off from the story, anime, cartoon, etc that I was viewing.

So I'm just curious: What is your personal opinion?

I would want some realism as well, but only just enough to get interjected into the story. I mean, the only thing I can think of that I enjoy that barely have any realism are old kartun of Tom and Jerry and the Loony Tunes. ANYWAY, just as long as I can understand and relate to the story through some sort of realism, I'm good.

Same I enjoy those old kartun as well and I'm not bothered oleh the lack of realism.

I would definitely want some realism. I also don't want anything impossible happening like what anda said. The only exception is scifi/fantasy stuff, but even then I don't like the lebih impossible stuff.

As both a writer and fan of fiction, I have actually had a real bone to pick about this subject, so I wanted to answer. I like realism! To me, something can be "way far out there" into total obscure fantasi concepts & wild stuff as long as anda can make me believe it! I try to do that with my writing. Being convincing does not mean I need all the details...it just means that if something I would think atau know is totally impossible- then give me enough of something to make me feel it could be plausible (even in a false sense, when in reality I know it couldn't). The writer's job, to me, (whether in a book, film, atau anime), is to supply the supporting reasoning and NOT leave such gaping holes. -Just what I like.

I'm not bothered oleh the lack of realism as long as it can get effectively supplemented into the Story. As long as there is an indication (even slightly) that something seemingly unrealistic can be made possible, I can get behind that. As for old Cartoons, I never minded them in that aspect. It just felt natural !!!!

True but kartun such as this anda can understand why they are the way they are. There are shows that want itself to be taken seriously but they do not act the part.

^ Well, failing to act the part means that the lack of realism wasn't supplemented effectively into the berkata Show. I agree that I would be taken aback oleh it as well !!!!

^I guess you'd be correct.
