In an crumbling world there is no room for emotions, only survival. The weak are killed and the strong survive. That is just how it works, if you cannot survive the tests the Society puts you through than you will not survive at all.

24 cities all covered by a huge dome. The Society uses these cities as eliminators. Putting in 48 people of all ages testing them with all sorts of fatal challenges until their are only 6 people left in each city. Those people are then forced into training to be used as warriors in the war of man kind VS Cryotiens that are trying to invade earth.

The Society has learned as much as they can about the Cryotiens, yet releases little to no information to the rest of earth's human population, especially not the selected (the 6 out of the 48 people selected to each city).

The city enforces such strict training and elimination in order to establish that they have only the very best soldiers. The only problem is that they are reducing the human population even faster than the Cryotiens are.

What are Cryotiens? Imagine a huge slimy pink creature that looks like an inside out and backwards human with dragon fly like wings. It feasts on the calcium and iron that is found in human bones and blood. They will tear you in half and eat you, if the get a hold of you.

The society picks the selected 48 at random, if their name appears on the computers than they are selected, they can't fight against being selected.

You can have at the most four characters but only one of those four can be one of the selected. You can be part of the Society, one of the selected, a normal citizen, or even one of the Cryotiens.

Your goal: survive

Yes there is sex and swearing, please don't kill others without their permission first.
NO GOD MODING!! NO ONE LINERS!!! Unless you really can't do anything else.

Anything else just ask, we will fill out the finer details as we go.

Weapon:anything she can find and turn into a weapon if it isn't one already

Bio: the Society picked her at random and she has been in city 15 since she was 10, but back then she hid or stayed with others, but that was when she was weak. Now she is stronger, and the others she used to depend on are dead, she does not trust the other dozen or so survivors left in city 15 so she stays alone, just trying to survive, unaware that there is far bigger challenges in her future.

Other: she like all of the others doesn't know about the Cryotiens.

How long have you been in the city: Since she was 11, so six years

Appearance: (picture)

Weapon(if you are a selected or society member): She loves knives, but anything she can use as a weapon she well use to her advantage.

Bio: She started out in city 1, then for some reason she was moved to city 7. When Naomi was first selected she was easily scared and only stayed alive so long because her best friend was also chosen, and he helped keep her alive. She started to fall in love with him, and because it was a weakness, he was killed, or so she was told. She doesn't actually know what happened to him. Ever since then she tries not to feel anything, she tries to stay by herself and she doesn't trust anyone.

Other: She’s heard stories of Cryotiens, but none are accurate in any way, she doesn't actually know what they are.
She is often underestimated because of how she looks, but she's gotten pretty good at killing and taking care of herself.

What are you?: A citizen, kind of.

What city are you in (the cities go by numbers): None in particular; he's a hitchhiker.

How long have you been in the city: He spends a short time in each city, looking for faults in the dome and trying not to draw too much attention to himself.

Appearance: pic

Weapon(if you are a selected or society member): He tries to avoid fights, but he has a Swiss Army knife... And his handy-dandy Cryotien friend.

Bio: After losing his family to the Cryotiens and his best friend to the selection, he tried to keep a low profile. Not get selected, not get killed, just keep moving. He drifts from city to city, doing his best to sneak in and out without getting caught. Hiking like this isn't exactly, well, legal, but it can be done under certain circumstances. And with a little supernatural help. He met his Cryotien friend, Ax, shortly after he began hitchhiking. Casper was scared of him at first, especially after the experience of losing his family to the aliens, before realizing the creature was rather harmless. It becomes a bit of a burden to hide Ax's identity, but if it means having a friend, so be it. However, word is starting to spread about the both of them; they often play the role of Robin Hood to help the lingering citizens.

Other: As much as he tries to not get any attention, it always manages to find him.

How long have you been in the city: A short time in each one; it seems that they can never settle in one place.

Appearance: He won't let anyone see and hides beneath a hoodie. Though, he is realizing that he is starting to change in appearance... Almost human-like...

Weapon(if you are a selected or society member): His fists. He is a very peaceful being, but if someone messes with Casper, they're dead to him. Or maybe not. He doesn't want to cause too much harm.

Bio: His stomach rejects blood, but not bones or plants. This was discovered by fellow Cryotiens, who bullied him and eventually exiled him for being softhearted. Casper was among the first person he met that didn't try to kill the 'man-eating' alien. He travels from city to city with Casper, trying not to be noticed. Ax likes to help citizens as well.

Other: He's starting to change. Is it the food, or is it being away from the other aliens? He was different before, but morphing into a....a...human? That's just another level of weird. And terrifying.

A dull light shone through the cracks in her roof. Well technically it wasn't even her roof, it wasn't even her house. It was just some abandoned house at the edge of the city. The wall of the dome was pitch black as if to symbolise nighttime. She thought it was stupid how they even bothered with a artificial moon. She was sick of all this constant fighting, she didn't even see the point of it all. And that was why she was where she was hiding away from everything, glad that no one ever bothered with the edge of the city. All it was was an empty waist land of what the city was. Jeanette sighed leaning against the wall hoping sleep would find her and not anything else.

Naomi waited, huddled in the darkest corner she could find. It was only a short time before daylight, and she wasn't looking forward to it. It had been another sleepless night, and all she wanted was for a moment of peace. But there was no such luck. So instead she waited, she would try to live, in honor of those who had protected her and then died for it.

No one could hear their footsteps. They were stealthy, just passerbys of the night. They wouldn't be noticed.

That's what Casper hoped, at least. A soft clanging followed him, and he sighed. "Ax, shh. You sound like a circus..."

"Sorry," was Ax's awkward-voiced reply. English was new to him. He was picking up on it rather quickly, but the tone and words were far different than the off-pitch squeals the other Cryotiens used to communicate.

"It's fine," Casper muttered. "Just...try to be more quiet."

Ax didn't say anything and tried to tip-toe, which resulted in him tripping, and the bag on his back collided loudly with the ground.

"Ax!"

"Sorry," he repeated sheepishly as he heaved it back up. They were around the same age, though Ax was the stronger of the two.

Casper shook his head and pulled him along. "We've been heard now. C'mon."

As the sun came up Naomi took off at a sprint down the uneven street. There was no one to run from but she needed the feeling that came with running. Finally she came to an area that used to be where she lived when she first arrived. She slowed to a walk and then stopped. The street was completely silent and something seemed off.

How long have you been in the city: He moves frequently and has been able to get within cities before, however it's not really worth it.

Appearance: He looks like other cryotien most of the time, but he does take on a human form if he pleases, however it's really REALLY screwed up looking. He takes off his prey's skin and wears it. Delicious right? But this means he will appear differently almost all times you will see him unless it's the same day.

(Hey Bob!)

Loud noises startled her awake, her body tensed ready to go into action. She could just barely make out what they were saying just understanding scolding and apologising. She stood up cautiously her hand gripping the bent lead pipe she had found. And peered out the broken window to see who was there. She saw two figures one pulling along the other. It didn't look pleasant, and she debated speaking up, but instead she remained quiet. Creeping out of the windowless window she began to follow them making sure that not even her breathing was heard.

"Can't be too sure," Casper mumbled, leading the way. "We'll have to play it safe."

"What if someone did, though? Would we have to run?"

Casper sighed. "I don't know."

"Was it really that lou--"

"Shhh.."

Ax nodded and trudged behind him.

Jean smirked softly, this two were ridiculous. Trying to be quite yet failing epically. How were they not dead yet? It took skills to survive in this world, yet the only skill they appeared to have was talking and shhhh-ing each other. If she even cared a little about winning the selection she would have killed them both without hesitation, but she didn't so instead she let her curiosity grow a bit as she followed them, softly dragging her pipe a long the ground.

(Well actually this is a real human baby, but moments after birth it died. This is kind of what the true form of a Cryotien except with razor sharp teeth.)

Ax could hear the faint sound of metal scratching against cement. Yes, he could differentiate such sounds, but he could never tell how far away they really were. Therefore, he didn't say anything to Casper. After all, Casper wanted him to be quiet.

Meanwhile, Casper studied the skyline. No cracks in the dome as he had often daydreamed, but the fake stars were certainly out. He set his focus on the path ahead. They'd have to spend the night in someplace abandoned, without getting involved in selection battles.

After a while, the sound of Ax's footsteps faded. Casper turned around knowingly. "Your legs?" he whispered, softer than their prior conversation.

Ax nodded. "Not quite used to walking like this..." His legs had changed only four days before, making walking something of a hardship. Human-like legs.... It was the biggest change yet.

His legs? She had noticed the second one walking oddly but she thought it do to injury but their words made it sound like more than an injury. Plus his feet were kicking up so much dust that it irritated her nose. And before she could stop herself she loudly sneezed.

Naomi had been right when she thought something was off. A man stepped out from one of the buildings. He didn't look like anyone else she had seen, and his clothes were nice. He had to be an official of some kind. "What do you want?" She asked, taking a few steps back.
*official* "You Naomi. It seems that we got orders to have you transferred...again."
"Where? Why?" She asked, getting ready to run.
"Back to city one. It appears there is something here they" he gestured to no one in particular, "don't want you here anymore. Please don't make this difficult." He said. Naomi didn't understand, but she wasn't taking a chance, she took off in the opposite direction, but then another man stepped out from in front of her. She collided into him, and in that moment he pinned her arms, and injected her with something. Her world slowly turned black.

Casper looked in her direction immediately and squinted in the dark. "Who's there?" he asked. No sense in being very quiet now.

Ax was frozen in place, not even looking behind him. Someone actually HAD been following them?! Who were they...? He tugged his hood even more over his head, still too frightened to turn around.

Stepping forward out of the dark, "I'm Jean." She told them simply as she looked them over, over as to what the two's retaliation was. "Who're you?"

When Naimi woke up she was lying in some back ally, she slowly say up, her head aching and took in her surroundings. She didn't know if she'd be able to tell the cities apart, but given her encounter, she assumed she was back in city one. As she stood she thought she heard voices, thought about going the other way and then decided to check it out instead. She found where the voices were coming from and saw two guys talking to a single girl. She wasn't used to interactions that weren't hostile right away and caught herself staying and watching, trying to stay hidden.

Ax was trying not to make eye contact, not wanting to be observed in case of scaring her. He instead glanced around, noticing another figure in the darkness. He continued to stare at the silhouette without saying anything.

"Why were you following us?" Casper asked sternly, yet softly.

Naomi took a small step back, she couldn't tell if she ha been seen by the one who said his name was Ax, but the whole situation was rather interesting to her, and she wanted to continue observing.
something about him, Ax, seemed off, but she wasn't sure what or if was just the way he was standing, an old injury perhaps? She didn't know, but maybe watching would help her find out.

Jean shrugged. "Curiousity." She said simply shrugging. Now that she could get a better look at them she realised she recognise either of them, though she couldn't even see the second one's face. "What city are you from?" She asked crossing her arms letting the pipe hang at her side.

(Ugh! I hate it when you have to have your character sneak around just for interaction! So fangfan7 have Naomi do something! I mean I had Jean sneeze, for interaction, so you make her trip or something but get your butt interacting with us! I absolutely hate when people get left out a of an RP!!)

Casper wanted to face-palm at Ax's response, but chose to ignore it. "None in particular," he mumbled. "We...travel." It sounded nicer that way.

As Casper's focus was directly at Jean, Ax's eyes studied the lethal pipe dangling at Jean's side. To hold such a thing so casually....The cities were so strange. But at least the citizens didn't eat people. He shuddered at the memories, and gazed back at the silhouette. It stood there still, and he acknowledged it by nodding his head ever-so-slightly.

"You selected?" Casper asked observantly.

A disbelieving frown pulled down her lips as she heard the hooded guy's response. They were from the country? From what she heard there hadn't been actual country for hundreds of years. Now it was just the domes and the tunnels connecting them together, and the small groups of the poor or yet to be settled that his out outside the domes. But no one was allowed to go through the tunnels unless they were a member of the society, and there was no way to escape the dome to the outside groups unless you were part of the society and even then you really couldn't.

But she comment on his response and simply answered his question with one of her own. "Are you?"

(I would say the year the society is in is 2750 but the technology they have in the domes is the same as was in the year 2000.)

When Ax nodded towards her, Naomi decided she would see what was going on. This wasn't like most interactions. She stepped out from her corner and announced herself, keeping both her hands near hidden daggers. "Ya know, it always draws attention when a group of people stands talking in the middle of a street...even if this is a poor excuse for a street." She said, stopping with just enough distance that she might have time to run if needed.

"And it draws even more so by announcing your presence to the whole city." Jean's grip on the pipe tightened as she turned to see the new arrival. "Because then it won't matter what street they are on, for they will die anyway. "

Casper shook his head. "Of course not." He felt like he was saying too much. They needed to dash soon if things got too personal.

Ax's eyes widened as the girl came out, and Jean mentioned death.. So they were going to die? Casper laid a reassuring hand on his shoulder, knowing the two girls were both selected. Wasn't it obvious, by the looks they gave each other?

Naomi smiled though it wasn't exactly friendly. "Well then I suppose combined our chance of being killed are doubled" he grabbed both her knives but didn't bring them all the way out "Unless you strike first though I'm not here to hurt anyone. I want to know what it's been like in this city...how often people are being killed. If you know." she said. When she first lived in this city people were dying left and right, though things have changed some since she was first selected.

Ax felt like his heart leaped out of his chest and ran down the street. He paled, but didn't jump, and simply turned to face him. "Hey...you." He wasn't very good at this greeting-insult thing.

Why was Noone here? Casper didn't pay much attention as he was talking to Jean and the mystery girl

"I would only strike first if I felt the need to defend myself against harm." She stated not releasing or tightening her grip on the pipe. "As for deaths there are less of us now so less will die and it takes longer to find us all in the first place. Or so I thought." She said noticing yet another newcomer had arrived in their presence.

With the mixture of the girl's tension seeming to grow and yet another newcomer, Naomi felt herself instinctively positioning her hands so she could throw her knives at a moments notice. "Hmm, well it's a party now," she said sarcastically. "But since we all seem to be in the same boat, let's agree not to kill each other just yet. Sound good to you?" Naomi said, turning her attention back to the girl. "I'll start with a friendly greeting this time. I'm Naomi." She said, continuing to try and keep an eye on everyone.

"Hanging out with your food again?" He said with a chuckle and straightening up, it was common knowledge to most Cryotein that Noone was not someone you spoke to. Not only was he creepy to even his own kind but he was just a freak. He'd broken his legs forward so he could look more human and this made him abnormally tall. "But...," he started before turning around with a smile, " Do you like my new skin?"

"Whatever, my name's Jean." She said almost stubbornly uncross ing her arms and leaning the pipe against the back of her head.

Naomi relaxed a little, but she still kept her left hand over one of her knives. "sorry for the lack of reassurance i am able to give you about being able to trust me, but it not like it's easy to trust anyone." She smiled a little, but her wary gaze turned back to the person who had just arrived "it's nice to meet you Jean." she said, still watching the new arrival.
