It was called ‘Lucifer’ & ‘Minority Report’ Ordered to Series At rubah, fox for 2015-16 Season | Variety
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Fox has added two more dramas to its 2015-16 slate. “Lucifer,” based on the DC Comics characters, and “Minority Report” based on Steven Spielberg’s Tom Cruise movie, have been given series orders.
“Minority Report” remained one of the strongest contenders during pilot season, and was one of the first pilots ordered at Fox. “Lucifer,” on the other hand, didn’t gain steam until the last 72 hours, as orders started to trickle in.
, along with Wilmer Valderrama, Daniel London, Laura Regan, Li Jun Li and Zhane Hall. The project from Amblin, Paramount Television and 20th Century Fox TV, inspired by the 2002 feature film, picks up 10 years after the end of pre-crime in DC when one of the three pre-cogs struggles to lead a normal human life, and remains haunted by visions of the future when he meets a detective who may help him find a purpose to his gift. Scribe Max Borenstein exec produces with Spielberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Mark Mylod (director) and showrunner Kevin Falls
from Warner Bros. TV, DC Comics and Jerry Bruckheimer Television, stars Tom Ellis as the title character, described as being bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, a.k.a. Lucifer, causing him to leave his throne and abandon his kingdom for Los Angeles, where he helps the LAPD punish criminals. Based on DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint, Tom Kapinos (writer) exec produces with Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Ildy Modrovich and Len Wiseman who will serve as director. The cast is rounded out by Lauren German, Rachel Harris, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Nicholas Gonzalez and Scarlett Estevez.
“Lucifer” will be in good company with the DC family, as the series is the second DC property to be picked up this pilot cycle — the CW also ordered “The Flash” and Arrow” spinoff “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.” DC will have a large presence on air during 2015-16, as “Flash” and “Arrow” have been renewed, in addition to Fox’s “Gotham.” However, “Constantine” was axed from NBC today.

“Lucifer” and “Minority Report” join new Fox dramas “The Frankenstein Code,” a new spin on the classic character, and Miami-set medical drama “Rosewood,” plus “The X-Files” revival and Ryan Murphy’s horror dramedy anthology “Scream Queens.”
On the funny side, Fox picked up Rob Lowe starrer “The Grinder,” John Stamos bachelor sitcom “Grandfathered” and post-college comedy “The Guide to Surviving Life.”

So “Minority Report” is a Steven Spielberg / Tom Cruise creation and not a story by Philip K Dick?
I was interested in Lucifer when the premise was with him leaving Hell to run a nightclub in L.A. Based on this article, they’ve made some changes…and my interest is waning. Do we need ANOTHER police procedural show on tv??
Supergirl is DC too… isn’t that coming soon?
