I think what some LP fans fail to see/admit/accept is that yes, BL had issues. But despite those issues, their mutual love and feelings for each other were still always there regardless. I think it was mainly just a failure to properly communicate, show, or understand those feelings between them. And that's something I've really come to believe over time.
