Er, gender equality should always be striven for, but we are not currently in such a state. It should be noted that we should not act as though we are on a level playing field because such a thing has not yet been attained. Feminism is often seen as a sexist movement because it is assumed that gender equality was achieved a while ago and that continued attempts to better femininity are sexist because they better women at the expense of men. That's not the case.
