Facebook? atau Fanpop?

I was quite shocked oleh the changed look of Fanpop, it looks as if it were Facebook, I have nothing against a few changes, banner designs? okay I would be fine with that, no lebih Icons? I would be fine with that too. But changing the whole site is a little much, don't anda think? Not that theres anything wrong with it, but I do believe that I joined Fanpop, not Facebook. All I'm saying is that I believe this change was much to sudden, rushed if anda would like. Thats all I'm trying to say, I don't want to be reported for this, so please understand that this is just my opinion. Tell me what anda think of the new Fanpop.

Ratings: We Can Do So Much Better

Ratings. They sound good in theory. What better way to know how good content is? Unfortunately, the reality is far, far different:

Trolls - We've all seen them. They rate things a one, just because they can.

Non-Raters - There is a LOT of awesome content on fanpop that goes unrated.

Friends and Enemies - friends get high ratings. Enemies get low ratings. It happens.

Rating Unfairly - People dish out 1-star ratings to gambar and video containing characters/pairings they don't support.

Rating the Uploading Process - Content gets rated based on HOW it was uploaded instead of the quality of the actual...

This section of my guide for fanpop users details the ratings system and was last edited on 26 May 2008.

As with any web site, fanpop is only as good as its content. Some content - what I think of as the soul of the site - is generated oleh users in the fora and in komentar on the rest of the content and cannot be rated. But the rest of the content - the body of the site - has a ratings system. The whole principle of the ratings system is a democratic one: if enough people vote, the really qualified items rise to the top. That's why everything that can be rated can be sorted in a daftar from highest...
