So, you've found Fanpop, are at least intrigued oleh what you've seen, and want more. So, now what?

First of all, if anda haven't already, anda will want to link for the following reasons:

1)Spots: once you've registered and logged in, anda can create a personalized daftar of spots that match your unique interests. In addition, if anda can't find the spot that fits you, anda can create your own!

2)Ratings: Rating the content on fanpop is the engine that drives the site, and anda can only rate things once you've registered and logged in.

3)Picks: Only logged-in users can answer any of the pertanyaan on the site.

4)Comments: anda can't place a komentar in a forum, enter a response to a link, atau critique a video unless you're logged in.

5)Personalizing your profile: This can't be done unless anda are logged in (you don't even have a profil unless you've registered).

6)Fans: Once you've logged in, anda can pick users that anda like for their content and say anda are a "fan" of theirs. Then, anda can jump from your profil to their profiles to see what content they've provided to the site.

7)New content: Once you've logged in, anda can create your own spots, questions, soapbox articles, as well as uploading video links/images and linking to other worthwhile content on the web.

8)Saving your favorit links: The site provides a way to save the content that anda really like to your profile.

I'll assume from this point on that anda have registered and have logged in.

harold Whether you can watch videos full screen or not depends on the source site for the video - Fanpop does not store videos on their own database machines. Instead, every video link is a link to another site's video content (think Blinkx or dailymotion). For many sites, Fanpop has made an arrangement to accommodate the site's "embed a video" code into Fanpop, so that if you post a link to that site's content to Fanpop, Fanpop will automatically recognize it as an embeddable video and both put it into the videos section and make it so that you can play the video on Fanpop, without having to leave for the other site (sadly, Fanpop hasn't done this with blinkx videos yet, so all those show up as "links" rather than "videos"). What this means, though, is that those other sites provide the complete video-viewing interface, so it's up to those sites whether there is a "view full-screen" version or not. YouTube is notorious for changing how their embedded video player works, so it's entirely possible that YouTube videos can no longer be played full-screen on another site, or that the people who post to YouTube can specify whether to allow full-screen viewing or not. The same can be said for other video sharing sites, of course, just that they tend to not change how their players work anywhere near as often as YouTube pulls changes on us users.

A quick little guide to customizing your poop oot!

What is this pop-out anda speak of?

The pop-out button is on the left side of your screen and provides access to your favorit klub at all times. This way anda don't have to go to your profil atau use the cari to navigate between clubs. HA HA kidding..I know nobody ever uses the search!

By default your poop-out will have your most active klub displayed for easy access.

fanpop User's Guide: Reporting

This part of my user's guide covers the reporting mechanism and how to use it to maintain good content on the site. It was last updated on 25 December 2009.

As anda continue to use Fanpop, anda will come across content that is not what it should be in some way. Since fanpop is largely only as good as the content it contains, it is important to address these issues for the good of the site and the fanpop community.
