OK, hi everyone! *waves* I'm sort of a lurker here. This is my first artikel in this spot. I haven't watched tangled atau the Princess and the Frog (because both film came out when I was studying for my exams. Damn!), so I won't include Tiana atau Rapunzel in this list. I probably will incorporate them in a later list, once I've watched both movies.
Anyway, so here are my favourite princesses (starting from the least favourite one.) I'll also write what I think is their main characteristic.

Snow White
"The Sweet Princess"
I first watched Snow White when I was six. I thought she was just too...sweet. I know that sounds odd. Her voice, her looks, everything. TOO SWEET. For me, there's two kinds of figurative sweetness. There's melt-your-heart sweetness, like Bambi. However, there's sickeningly sweet sweetness. And that's Snow White. Her voice made me want to break something. If anda could get diabetes from listening to something sweet, just listen to Snow White's voice.
(BTW, what happened to the turtle? I'm glad Snow got her prince and her kastil, castle in the sky, but I sat through the whole thing needing to know the whereabouts of the turtle.)
I guess I just didn't like her because I was a tomboy, and Snow White is definitely the opposite of a tomboy.

Aurora
"The Beautiful Princess"
Another one I watched when I was little. In fact, Sleeping Beauty was the only DP movie I had on tape. Aurora is blessed with the gift of beauty. I definitely enjoyed her lebih than I did Snow White. She is a princess, but sometimes she comes off as a queen. And very beautiful. I loved the vision of her which Maleficiant gave Prince Phillip...golden hair, long eyelashes and red lips. However, I think Aurora wasn't diberikan much screen time, compared to the other DPs. If she had had lebih screen time, I would have liked her A LOT better.

cinderella
"The Gentle Princess"
Honestly, I don't have much opinion of Cinderella. The film focuses lebih on her story, than her actual character. My opinion of her is that she's gentle, kind and compassionate. However, I wish she'd lebih backbone in standing up to her stepsisters and stepmother. She has a horse, she could get it to kick them atau something. atau poison their dresses, that was a huge favourite in Victorian era. At least DO SOMETHING to get back at them.

melati
"The Kick-Ass Princess"
It may come as a shock that I actually like Jasmine, despite placing her in the middle of my list. When watching Aladdin, I focus lebih attention on Aladdin, Genie, and Abu than Jasmine. However, I think melati looks out for herself, is resourceful, fiery and intelligent.
#4
Belle
"The Bookworm Princess"
A lot of people say Belle's intelligent. I'm not sure about that. She reads, yeah, but membaca doesn't equal to intelligence. She was membaca a fairytale, not a book about rocket science atau quantum physics! But I cinta her compassion for the Beast, her cinta for her father, and her ability to not judge a person oleh their looks.
#3
Ariel
"The Curious Princess"
I loved Ariel as a kid, and I still do. I find that no matter what the situation, I'm always on her side. Ariel is very easy to love, and she has lebih human experiences than most on this list, despite not even being human.
Ariel: "I'm sixteen years old! I'm not a child!"
King Triton: "Don't anda take that tone of voice with me young lady, as long as anda remain in my ocean, anda obey my rules!"
That exchange made me really root for her. How many of us, as children and teens, have been through this same situation? I admit, she's done pretty stupid things, like defying her father's orders and forming an alliance with the sea witch. But in the end, Ariel shows that we are all flawed and despite our many flaws, we are capable of cinta and being human.
#2
Pocahontas
The Passionate Princess
Pocahontas is very much of a woman compared to the other princesses. She is the most beautiful of all the princesses, both inside and out. She has an air of maturity about her, yet she's so freedom loving and spiritual. I must admit, it was the song "Colours of the Wind" which made me fall in cinta with the movie, and subsequently the princess. I cinta the passion she has for everything she does, especially in her cinta with John Smith. In the end, she chose to remain with her people. Pocahontas watching John sailing away from her truly the most heart-breaking moment in any disney Princess film for me, I actually cried during that. I also cinta her moments of fun.
Pocahontas taught me that "if anda walked the footsteps of a stranger, you'll learn things anda never knew, anda never knew."

mulan
The brave Princess
mulan had me from the start. I liked it that she wasn't like the other princesses. She isn't the most beautiful, atau the most witty. However, she is the bravest of them all. mulan doesn't wait around for princes to sweep her off her feet atau for glass slippers to fit her. mulan actually gets out there and makes things happen. She loves deeply and it's not some romance, it's a great cinta for her family, her friends and her country. She saved China, need I say more?
Anyway, so here are my favourite princesses (starting from the least favourite one.) I'll also write what I think is their main characteristic.
