Where disney Princess Stories Took Place

I had inspiration to write this artikel because of a dream I had a couple years ago. I dreamed there was a map of the world, and points on the map. At the points, is where a disney story took place. For example, in India, was The Jungle Book.

So I wonder, where does each story take place? Well, not everyone knows for sure, but here are some I guess where each takes place. (I'm only doing disney Princesses)

1. Snow White
Snow White is really a dark story and takes place in dark times. I believe it takes place in early, middle age time, England. Around the 1400's. I think this because in the movie, all anda see is a castle, that's it. No village atau anything. Probably because this is when the population is first starting. Snow White seems like her story is very,very old.

2. Cinderella
cinderella for sure takes place in England. Probably around the 1600's atau 1700's. Even though cinderella is a story that's old (Not as old as Snow White's) the movie seems sort of modernly.

3. Sleeping Beauty (Aurora)
I truly think Sleeping Beauty takes place in Germany. Walt disney based the castles in the princess film off of castles in Germany. Such as the Neuschwanstein castle. Sleeping Beauty's kastil, castle is based of the Neuschwanstein castle. I know this because I have personally have been to this extraordinary kastil, castle and took a tour, and they even berkata Walt disney based Sleeping Beauty's kastil, castle off of this castle.

4. The Little Mermaid (Ariel)
Even though half of the movie is underwater, the land part takes place in Denmark. When Hans Christian Anderson wrote The Little Mermaid, he wrote it in his hometown, Denmark. Denmark is also surrounded oleh water, like Eric's castle. So why not it be in Denmark?

5. Beauty and the Beast (Belle)
This is a no-brainer. Beauty and the beast takes place in France. Nothing else needs to be explained. BONJOUR!!!!!!!!!!

6. aladdin (Jasmine)
There has been some arguments on where this story is located. I think it's India, but some people think it's Iran atau Iraq atau some middle eastern country. Based off the palace, it looks like the Taj Mahal, which is in India. I'm sticking with India.

7. Pocahontas
For sure it takes place in the Unites States. I haven't really thought about where exactly, but there are some rumors that it takes place in Virginia.

8. Mulan
CCCCCCHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAA

9. The Princess and the Frog (Tiana)
This amazing story takes place in New Orleans. Man, I really want to go there,

10. Rapunzel
This is a toughy, this could take place anywhere. I'm just gonna go with England.

KotokoAihara Interesting article! The only one I have a different opinion on is Rapunzel which I think takes place in Germany. Other than that great article.

starlight77 I also wrote an article about this when I first joined fanpop. Cinderella definitely took place in 19th century France because of the style of the clothes. Beauty and the Beast was in the 18th. Nice article.

Jessikaroo Nice article :) Personally, I believe Snow White takes place in Germany because of a lot of the setting. Cinderella is more commonly accepted as France, because of the style of clothing, Cinderella's home is called the Chateau, and women are commonly referred to as mademoiselle. And I always thought Sleeping Beauty took place in England. Also for TLM, it's been speculated it takes place in Spain because of how tropical most of the fish are in the underwater scenes. But great job, I liked it!

As for Sleeping Beauty, the movie does NOT say which nation it took place; but since it was based on the same person who did Cinderella, it is possibly in Medieval France during the late 14th Century. The names, Fauna (French for Fawn, originally Greek), Aurora (Originally Latin), and Stephene (Originally Greek) are french. Leah can be French for Leatrice. Not only Stephene's castle is based on the Baravia castle, it is also inspired by many castles in France as the architecture are also 80 percent French. We also see many Fleur De Lis signs around the castle, indicating the Kingdom of France, which is also involved during Medieval Times. Not only the clothing indicates Medieval England, but also Renaissance France. Aurora can also be found the French Epcot Center. And Most importantly, the music in the end was Tchaikovsky's version of the Royal anthem of France, which was adapted by George Bruns. I think Tangled could take place in Germany or Italy, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Princessanna93 I completely agree with you,with the only exception of Rapunzel whose story actually takes place in Germany. The dress she wears is a typical folkloristic dress of Bavaria, region located in southern Germany. As for all the other princesses you are totally right. Great job

It's time to stop congratulating disney for including a line of Oaken saying hi to his family, briefly tampilkan them with the small possibility that that's his husband in the sauna, and then calling Frozen revolutionary. Hello! As March's fan of the bulan I was charged with the task of interviewing April's winner, 234anna, also known as Alexandra atau Alex. Bonjour! So basically I'm doing a daftar of my favourite things from each movie. This is not a countdown and the objective is to not bash the film but to see the good in them. The captions under the pictures is an example of one of my favourite kutipan from that particular movie.
