Melody Hate

KataraLover Well, first I have to tell you that you mispronounced Madellaine's name. The way you said it, it would be spelled Madelana lol. Anyway, this was a great review! The reasons, that I can gather, that people find Melody to be annoying are that she constantly giggles, she says "Whoopi" (like one time but apparently it's a big freaking thing), and she said "What's kickin?". Pretty stupid reasons to think she's annoying but I think people will find whatever reason they can to dislike a sequel character. I agree with everything you said and believe it or not, there was actually a time I liked Melody more than Ariel. It was the first few months I owned the movie because I did relate more to Melody and I loved that she wanted to be a mermaid like I did (well, a merman lol). But then I started loving them equally, as I entered my teens I loved Ariel more, and then when I entered later into my teens I loved them both equally. I think that Melody is a very well-written character and while her movie isn't technically good (though I still love it), I do think from a writing standpoint that Melody is a better character than Ariel (despite that I love them equally). She actually fixes her problems, defeats the villain, and apologizes with words, unlike Ariel. I do think Ariel changes and realizes her mistakes but it wasn't as well done as it was with Melody. I do disagree that Ariel and Melody are different. I don't think she's a cheap copy, but they do have a similar personality (which is understandable because it's freaking genetics) but Melody is more awkward and insecure while Ariel is confident and doesn't care what others think about her. I can't wait to do my Melody video, I might try to work on it tonight and upload it tomorrow, and your Jane video. Amazing job!
