Gwen was just being really supportive and encouraging in this scene. It's exactly what Arthur needed & I cinta that she knew that.

It is telling that he shares his fears with her. He allows himself to be vulnerable with her, the way one would with someone they trust completely. Although he can't treat her as such, yet, he sees her as his equal. It's a beautiful thing.

She insists on calling him 'sire' as she leaves. The first few times I watched this I thought, she is putting up those walls again; the gulf between them still exists. But lately I have been thinking (hoping) that it was her re-enforcing his status as the leader of Camelot; a position he has earned and is lebih than capable of living up to.

After this scene I could totally see them, down the road, as king & queen, lying in tempat tidur discussing war-time strategy as bantal talk :D

There something about the way he looks at her as well. It's... almost steamy?

I want to say something about her cinta for the son & the underlying hatred/anger for the father (and how she navigates that) that is briefly alluded to in this scene but I haven't properly formulated those thoughts yet.

So, basically, I have a jumble of opinions. Hopefully anda all get at least one coherent statement out of my ramblings, somewhere.

This is one of my FAVORITE, favorit scenes of all. My word, it is so intimate, sensual and mesmeric. Anybody who says these guys don't have chemistry needs their head examined. Did anda see how fast she got out of there? He was about to be totally distracted from the task at hand. Wise girl. And wise words. I wrote all this on my tumblr. I saw a queen encouraging her husband the king as he was about to embark on one of his most dangerous and important missions on behalf of the kingdom. I loved it, loved it, loved it. What she berkata and all the rest. Only these two could make caressing a hand and a look so courtly yet steamy at the same time. I know your pertanyaan was mainly about the foreshadowing but I get excited about this scene. It might be my favorit so forgive me. YES. We were definitely seeing the foreshadowing of who she would become.
