Chapter 10
The moonlight howl was in 5 minutes. The howl was like a prom for wolves... anda would find a partner, and howl an amazing duet. When two serigala go to the moonlight howl together, they usually come back as a couple. Not to mention serigala that are already couples, atau serigala that choose to, they mate. When they get back to their dens of course. No one would want to see that. The moonlight howl was a mating ritual. That was one thing Seth did not know. "So this is it?" Seth asked curiously, looking at the couples howling on the mountain. They were howling in perfect unison. Some carried a rhythm, others a beat, some just added in a different rhythms but all together is sounded like a huge musical orchestra. Liam nodded. "Yes. This is it. And an moment now, we should be seeing..." Before finishing a fat wolf, along with a white slender serigala approached. "We should be seeing Nick and Brandon..." Liam sighed upon seeing Nick. "Oh... Here comes the noob squad... and Hello! WHat have we here!" Nick berkata running up to Kate. "Hey... How's about anda and I go have some fun in the-" "Piss off pork chop." Seth snapped. Everyone laughed and Kate smiled and slapped her paw over her forehead. "What was that? anda annorexic rat!?" Seth didn't back down. He erected his tail high. Liam took one paw and backed Seth up, pushing him back. "Seth... back off..." He whispered. "ANd you... Beat it. atau i'll beat you." Liam said, towering over Nick and puffing up his chest. Nick rolled onto his back, tampilkan submission. Liam paid no attention to this and gestured for the others to follow. Brandon rolled his eyes at Nick and ran up to the group. "Sorry about my friend..." Brandon sighed apologetically. "It's fine." Griffin assured. Brandon looked down at his paws. From a quick scan, Seth knew a bit about Brandon. Beta. About Lilly's age if not a bit older. Miranda watched as he padded behind. Lilly walked beside him. Brandon's eyes lit up upon seeing Lilly. "Hey... Uh... Lilly..." Brandon studdered nervously. "Hey!" She replied happily. "You... er..." Brandon paused before blurting out quickly. "You look great tonight..." Lilly blushed. "Thanks..." Brandon continued. "So! I, was wondering if..." Brandon took a deep breath. Everyone stopped walking and turned to him and smiled. His eyes widened. "If... you'd allow me to escort anda to the howl?" Lilly smiled. She nodded. "Yes... that would be great..." Seth padded over to Brandon. "I may not know you, but good job..." Seth patted his shoulder. Brandon smiled and then walked over to Lilly. He whispered something in her ear inaudible to the others, and Lilly giggled. The group finally reached the puncak, atas of the mountain. "Kate... Er..." Seth started, gesturing for her to come over to him in private. "What are we going to do?" "What do anda mean?" Kate replied curiously. "I'm gonna die of jealousy if i see anda howling with someone else... What are we supposed to do?" Kate looked down at her paws before speaking again. "Um... Are they ALWAYS... like that?" Brandon questioned, raising one eyebrow. "Pretty much... Sighed Liam."
"I don't know..." Kate sighed. "I want to howl with you... I want to be open about my emotions about you... i'd tell the others but I don't know how they'd take it..." "Maybe I'll just leave early... That way there's no chance of me seeing you..." Kate thought about this before speaking. "You shouldn't have to do this..." Kate berkata sadly. "I know but it's the best we've got...." Kate sighed. "Fine... If it ensures there is no jealousy, I'm ok with it." She turned t see if the others were looking, and sure enough, they were. She made a gesture for them to turn around with one paw. Grudgingly, they turned around. Kate kissed Seth several times and then licked his face once before pulling away. "Ok... we're ready." Kate said, before running up to the others.

Kate, Lilly, Brandon and Miranda membagi, split off from the group. Hunter joined the others as well. Seth followed Liam. The three girls and Brandon walked side oleh side up the mountain side. The rumput seemed to shorten and thin out as they got closer to the top. The trees began to thin out as well. THe only things that could be heard were the crickets, howling and rushing from the waterfall. It turned out to be a cloudless night. The stars were shining brightly. "Aren't I supposed to meet someone?" Kate asked Lilly. She was her step-sister now so she of all people would know. Lilly nodded. Before any words were exchanged, stepped a big, muscular white figure from over a rock. Miranda was right. His blue eyes sparkled from the stars. Michael. He jumped down from the rock and walked up to Kate. "So I take it anda are the one replacing Nia." He asked. Kate nodded shyly. He smiled. "You're a pretty little thing..." He smiled and nuzzled her cheek with his nose. Kate's jantung warmed upon feeling his warm touch but her jantung ached to howl with Seth. If only that was him before her. "I'm Michael!" He berkata proudly. "So i'm told..." Kate berkata nervously. "Do anda know exactly what we are supposed to do?" Michael asked. Kate nodded. "Unite the packs... Marry..." "Annnnnd?" Michael asked, moving his paw in a circular motion. "What? Isn't that it?" "No... I was hoping you'd know... We are also supposed to create another litter-" Kate's jaw dropped. That wasn't good. "I know... Odd... And another thing... I heard anda were from the southern serigala pack..." "Yeah? I-... I was..." Kate studdered, still nervous from hearing the new obligation. "Here... Moonlight howls are a bit different..." "How different?" Kate asked with a demanding tone in her voice. "Well, these howls are mating rituals." "Ah!" Kate fell back. Michael looked surprised at her reaction and helped her up. "What!? After this we are going to-" Oh... Seth isn't going to like this... Kate thought. Michael sighed. "Maybe, we should start howling... I don't think me just explaining everything to anda is very reassuring... I can't wait to get to know you..." Michael smiled shyly. "haha... Me... too..." Kate in fact COULD wait to get to know him. She didn't like where this was going.

After the howling, and dancing... Hunter, found a partner. Soul. Hunter in fact was a delta. Griffin, Carey, Liam, Saphire and Seth all settled down near a fire. Just like camping, they all sat in a circle. "That was fun!" Carey smiled. She leaned over and kissed Griffin. Saphire sat down in Liam's lap and laid back down on him. He smiled and wrapped his arms around her. "I guess it wasn't that bad..." Seth laughed. "I know I had fun..." Hunter smiled, leaning down and licking the puncak, atas of Soul's head. She responded oleh nuzzling his chest. Seth looked up at the mountain, and saw a particular tawny figure and a white figure waking up the mountain side. He felt a twang of jealousy. He sighed. Liam turned up to look where he was looking. He sighed and shook his head. "It's fine man... You'll get used to it... And if i'm not mistaken, You're attending ALpha school along with Kate. Ruuqo told me if anda pass, anda will be accepted as an Alpha." Seth's eyes lit up at that. "I figured that would cheer anda up." Liam smiled. "I did tell Kate that I would leave upon seeing her so i wouldn't be jalous but I think i will stay" To Seth's surprise, everyone cheered. Seth was embarassed. "haha..." He chuckled. "Now... Hunter... anda never really did finish-" Griffin started. "No. Don't even go there." Hunter quickly said. "Oh but why not?" Griffin laughed. "Don't You-" "You didn't finish telling me about your feelings for Soul..." "Of course anda went there." Hunter berkata rolling his eyes. Everyone laughed. Soul of course found it endearing.

After a while of taking and laughs... Seth felt ever close to his new found friends. He also started a new friendship with a beautiful grey Alpha named Destiny. He started on hiw way back. He figured Kate would be back. He couldn't wait to tell her what had happened. It was almost midnight. AFter he had bid farewell to Destiny and the others, Seth headed back to his den. He trotted along happily. He was looking meneruskan, ke depan to some quiet time with Kate. Seth arrived at the den. "Kate! I'm back-" Seth saw something he didn't want to see. Right at that moment, grief was crashing down on him. His jantung was torn out. He was bleeding on the inside. He felt unloved. Inside the den, was Kate and Michael. Kate was on her back on the rock that they slept on, with Michael straddling her. Seth knew what they were doing. EVerything became wavy to Seth. His world became blurry with tears. "Kate..." Kate's eyes widened as she faced Seth. "Seth! I um..." Seth shook his head before she berkata anything else. "Just... Just... Kill me now... Rip out my heart... ANd kill me..." Seth cried. He ran off into the forest.
