It never has in this show! I was 'hoping' for that too (not that I want kastil, castle hurt of course) but it could have made Beckett realize how much she cared for him but she's not ready for a relationship so that's why SHE got shot instead (they were after her anyway not him) & now she knows how kastil, castle feels.
