The performances of Wicked will begin on a Tuesday, on 29th of June. Kathy Fitzgerald is going to be playing the role of Madame Morrible in the respective musical that has been a Blockbuster all over. Kathy has joined this cast that already included Mandy Gonzalez in the role of Elphaba, Katie Rose Clarke playing the role of Glinda, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Andy Karl playing Fiyero, Alex Brightman playing the character of Boq and Jenny Fellner playing Nessarose. Timothy Britten Parker stars as Dr. Dillamond. Last but not the least the Tony Award-winner named Rondi Reed is going to be giving her final performance in the character of Madame Morrible on Sunday that is going to be the 27th of June at 3:00pm.
Kathy Fitzgerald has previously starred on Broadway in the musical titled 9 to 5 (that had gained much Critical acclaim) and The Producers and Swinging on a Star (that had bagged a Drama Desk nomination). Other than that she has several off-Broadway credits to her name as well that include Damn Yankees (City Center Encores!), the successful “Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know”, the famous “Mating Habits” and last but not the least Lyrics and the Lyricists series. The aforementioned musical has been the winner of 35 major awards that include a prestigious Grammy Award and three Tony Awards. WICKED revolves around the story of the witches that inhabit the land of Oz. much before the character of Dorothy drops in, there are a couple of girls that meet in the land of Oz.
