Chapter 3 - The Gazebo
My feet planted noiselessly on the warm green grass. The light that was shining on my face a while yang lalu was the sun. The sky was clear blue, a rare event for Forks.
I stared around me – no gaped would be the perfect word to describe what I’m doing right now. Where am I? I’m sure I’m not in our cottage atau at the Cullen Mansion. This place is definitely not La Push. Could this place truly exist? Could I still be in Forks?
I noticed that the tempat tidur I was sleeping on a couple of detik yang lalu was a different one. I frowned, there is no way that this magnificent tempat tidur fit for a queen could be mine. The huge, ornate tempat tidur was entirely covered with scarf-like sheets in different hues of purple.
The tempat tidur was in the middle of a glass gazebo. I couldn’t help but be awed oleh the beauty that surrounds me. Every bunga imaginable crept on its four posts. Red mawar dominated, though. I inhaled deeply – such lovely, sweet smell.
Then, realization hit me – sweet smell. One of our kind is here. I instinctively crouched defensively. My eyes roving the place, a soft yet menacing snarl escaped my lips. I waited listening for the slightest, softest sound.
After a couple of seconds, nothing happened. Whoever he atau she is, I know it wouldn’t take them that long to attack, seeing that I am alone. I straightened up from my crouch, my eyes still searching and my ears still listening.
Still nothing happened.
“Silly.” I berkata aloud chuckling.
Still, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I am not alone.
“Must be the flowers.” Trying to explain the sweet smell. I cocked my head to the side. I could hear water ripple. My eyes widen in delight. Shoving aside the warning tingles I could feel in every inch of my body I dashed towards the small steps that lead to a lush garden. This garden is wilder, though again, mawar are everywhere. I noticed that the mawar were a very deep red, almost like fresh blood. I looked away.
I really should look for my family. Where are they, anyway? Are they here?
Maybe, this is a surprise. Aunt Alice loves surprises and of course, Aunt Rose is into flamboyant things.
I’ll look for them, I decided. I followed the sound of the rippling water. After a break in the row after row of red bloody roses, it finally came into view.
The small pond was crystal clear – cheerily bubbling. Now and then red rose petals and leaves float on the water. The water looks inviting.
Might as well take a dip, I thought.
That’s when I noticed my reflection on the pond. I gasped. What happened to my baby tees and pajamas?
“Mom! Mom!” I wailed.
How did Aunt Alice pull this off without me waking up?
I stared once again at my reflection. I was wearing a ungu organza gaun with a sweetheart neckline and full rok that reached the ground. My curls were piled high on my head - allowing a few loose ringlets. White mawar crowned the puncak, atas of my elegant hairstyle.
“Not bad.” I murmured. But how?!
I went back to scrutinizing my reflection. I looked down on my bosom where a heavy silver locket lay. The huge R was entirely made of the deepest ruby. The kalung itself was made of the thinnest silver I have ever seen. I was almost afraid it would snap because of the weight of the locket it’s carrying.
“Aunt Rose.” Without a doubt.
I have to find my family so I could embrace them one oleh one and thank them for this wonderful surprise.
I gave my reflection one last glance, and then stopped short.
On the water’s reflection was one of the most beautiful pair of eyes I have ever seen.
Startlingly blue.
Bluest of blue, sapphire, almost violet.
Electric
The sapphire blue eyes continued to stare intently.

BREAKING NEWS: TWILIGHT bintang DIED OF DRUG OVERDOSE!!
My kotak masuk started piling up with messages from my office mates, one even berkata condolence. UGH! One asked, what would happen to New Moon. Would there be a re-shoot? One encouraged me to file for a leave so we could mourn. ACK! THIS IS NOT TRUE! (Tell me, it’s not true.) I refuse to believe. My blood literally boiled. My morning is ruined-ruined beyond repair, I think. I absolutely hate people who spread vicious rumors around. Can’t they just leave famous artis alone? GRRRR!!!!!!
