Her romance with Stefan will become a major part of her Season 6 storyline, even if that romance isn’t exactly a two-way street. “She’s going to realize it’s a little more one-sided than she was hoping, and there’s going to be some fallout from that,” executive producer Caroline Dries says. “But just because one character doesn’t like another character, that doesn’t mean it’s not a fascinating love story.”

Ausiello: Archie Panjabi’s alter-ego will have “a stronger through-line” in Season 6, promises creator Robert King, “and after you’ve seen the first episode, I think you’ll understand why.” King is reluctant to spoil too many details, but he admits that the show’s writing staff felt that in Season 5, “we’d lost some of the fun people who we’d built around Kalinda.” To remedy that, King says we’ll be seeing return appearances by Jill Flint (dropping by from NBC’s The Night Shift as enigmatic FBI agent Lana Delaney) and Kelli Giddish (on loan from Law & Order: SVU as Kalinda’s married paramour Sophia Russo). BONUS SCOOP: Seeing how Season 6 picks up right after the events of last May’s finale, Kalinda and Cary will still be dealing with the “bombshell” that went off in their relationship (Cary overhearing Kalinda admit to Diane that she uses him for intel, and the occasional couple’s subsequent — and pretty uncomfortable — sex scene.) “The bottom line is, none of that is forgotten,” teases King. intel? The Windy City-based sister shows will host a major crossover in the first half of the season, and then again in the second half. “We want to be as ambitious as we were last time,” says executive producer Matt Olmstead. “Last year, we also did a crossover with

Ausiello: Don’t expect Sheldon and Amy’s physical relationship to accelerate now that they’ve kissed. “We’re always moving them forward in baby steps,” shares showrunner Steve Molaro, who adds that there is no “set plan in place” for the pair to take their slow-burn romance to the next level. “They’re on the same trajectory that they’ve been on since they met, and that is she is continuing to drag him along into this relationship, whether he wants to admit that he likes it or or not. He’s come a long way. She’s got him to a place where they hold hands and they kiss and they go on regular dates. While it may not seem like a lot, it’s a colossal amount for him.”

Ausiello:  Adalind and the royals will have some competition as they search for her missing daughter: The NBC drama’s upcoming fourth season will feature a “new character who will enter the fray who also really wants to find that baby,” series co-creator David Greenwalt tells TVLine.

As if covering up his part in last season’s double homicide wasn’t enough for the embattled SAMCRO-ian to contend with, series creator Kurt Sutter tells me that Juice will “have a revelation about himself” in Episode 6. “It’s somewhat sad, but it explains his journey and why he is doing what he is doing,” the EP adds. “He’s sort of on this path that begins with him having some glimmer of hope, and then when that doesn’t come to fruition, he’s just completely untethered and lost.” BONUS SCOOP: Juice isn’t gay. Ausiello: I would if I could but I can’t. Although the estranged couple had a fleeting moment of hope in the Season 5 finale, series creator Jason Katims says their troubles are not behind them. “I didn’t want to come back [this] season and have it feel like, ‘Oh, everything is fine, and they’re back to the way it was,’” he explains. “I feel like that would be cheating the audience out of watching what would really happen. We’re continuing to tell that story, and we pick up with them being separated.”

Ausiello: Co-showrunner Christopher Lloyd confirms that Adam Devine has signed on for six more episodes as Haley’s will-they-won’t-they love interest, Andy. “We really haven’t figured out that relationship yet,” Lloyd admits. “They don’t quite make sense on paper, but they do circle back to feeling something toward each other. They’re both trying to sort out what it is.”

Ausiello: I posed that same basic question to Joanne Froggatt on the Emmy red carpet last week, and I saved the video just for this very occasion. According to my calculations, that makes this an Ask Ausiello exclusive!

Ausiello: Don’t hold your breath for an update on Liz’s “husband” when the NBC drama returns. When asked if we’ll get any clues about Tom’s whereabouts in the early part of Season 2, series creator Jon Bokenkamp would only say, “Nope!” Added the EP: “I do love that character, and it’s hard to imagine the show without him, but I don’t know what I could say to give any hope to Tom. There won’t be any big discoveries right away.”

Ausiello: You already know that Deke will take notice of Luke’s new back-up singer, Pam — showrunner Dee Johnson elaborates that the enchanting chanteuse has “lived through a lot, and she’s come out the other side of it.”

Allow Johnson to finish. “But if you really look, on paper, Deacon has a pretty dark past, too,” she says, hinting that maybe Pam and Deacon will find plenty of reasons to spend time together in the season ahead.

Ausiello: Well, as showrunner Scott M. Gimple points out, “What Carol knows about how Daryl reacted is pretty limited because she wasn’t there.” That said, Carol’s estrangement and eventual return “does have weight” and “will be felt throughout the season,” Gimple adds. “It’s part of their history. And they haven’t seen each other since it’s happened. So there will be a catching up to that fact.”

is doing a Felicity-centric flashback episode called “Oracle.” I know it’ll touch on her time at MIT and casting news says her mom becomes a factor, but I’d like to know more about how Oracle ties into it. Can you dig up any teases? –Katie H.

Ausiello: For starters, the episode was recently retitled “The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak,” so I’d take a wait-and-see approach as to how much DC Comics’ famous Oracle figures in at this point. As for casting

’s Charlotte Ross as Mama Smoak, Donna, “This is our first deep dive into Felicity’s character, so we knew we wanted to meet one of the parents,” showrunner Marc Guggenheim explains. “We felt both parents would be overload, and one might pull focus from the other.”

I personally find the love triangle stuff overdone and stale, not to mention that a lot of the relationships on the show are toxic and unhealthy. I love the characters and I want better for them. I don’t watch the show, but based on what I have read on this board about the shoe, there must be some behind the scenes drama between those two. People have been yelling about “fixing” their relationship for a few seasons now, so there must be some reason that Marguilies(sp?) doesn’t want to work with her. Its all that could possibly be the answer.

I hope Longoria’s job on Brooklyn 99 doesn’t mean her producer’s gig on Devious Maids is done.. I really want that show to be renewed !

I think he will tell Unser who will keep the secret for awhile until he realizes Gemma is a self-serving person who never loved him and spills the secret about JT and Tara to someone in the club.

I think Juice is going to rat out Gemma to Jax, but I can see him telling Unser but I don’t trust him. Either way Gemma can kill juice if she wanted to cause she’s a COLD hearted BITCH….Juicy could kill her as well since he’s becoming out of control.

One-sided? Are you kidding me? Stefan definitely has feelings for Caroline, and if he doesn’t they shouldn’t have kept hinting that he did. I can see him slowly realizing it, and the show stretching out getting them together that way, but straight out rejecting Caroline? I don’t think so. I wish this show would let the Elena-Salvatore brothers triangle die, and let some healthy relationships develop.

Another spoiler posted today says Stefan isn’t in an immediate emotional place to have a relationship with anyone when the show returns. Caroline Dries told TVLine: Sadly, romance won’t be in the air for Stefan, who “doesn’t have the emotional energy for a relationship.” And even when he is ready, he’s still “a typical guy who just sees Caroline as a friend.” Paul Wesley wants it to happen, so I’m sure all this means it’s going to be a slow build. I think it’s realistic for Stefan to not be in a good place right now…..he’s hurting too much.

Yeah, Stefan could use a break. I’m all for him taking some time, working through stuff, and having some “me time”. I just hope they don’t perpetuate the cycle of Stefan-Elena-Damon by having him end his “break” by hooking back up with Elena. Then we’ll know their claims about Stefan not having “the emotional energy” was crap, since there is nothing more exhausting than that arrangement.

No, way to twist things around what it says is Caroline has feelings for Stefan that are not reciprocated. No slow burn, no epic love, just two people who should stay friends. Quit reaching and making this something it is not. End of story

Stefan shot Caroline down romantically way back in Season 1 because he was only interested in Elena. For Stefan it will always be about Elena – Caroline will NEVER be his priority and he will always care more about Elena. Caroline should know all that by now – and she’s the one who’s been saying for seasons now that Elena is Stefan’s epic love and whatnot.

They’ve all grown and changed a lot since S1. Stefan shooting Caroline down for Elena isn’t indicative of his feelings now, especially since Elena is with Damon (was- is, you know he’s gonna be back) and he’s been moving on. He should pine for Elena for the rest of his unnatural life. He deserves to be in a healthy supportive relationship with someone who cares enough about him to choose him. Caroline is very clearly that person.

Oh please at the most they were true friends and that is it. Why do shippers try to make every relationship on this show turn into fan fiction. Every conversation from season one on will be brought up as proof they are soul mates and were always meant to be or they are the end game. I am so tired of people high jacking this show and turning it into a shipping fest. Stop, just stop.

But this show IS a shipping fest! Trust me, the love triangle is by far my least favorite part of the show and it is so overwrought at this point I don’t even care anymore. (I just love the brother relationship, Alaric, and pretty much any Stefan storyline) But the writers make the show a giant shipping fest, not the fans.

Season 3. The prom episode, 19 I think, don’t tell me that during their dance and how she told him that one day he will meet somebody else that wasn’t a clue for them to have something in the futur

I would say going back to the pilot, actually. I mean obviously the writer’s didn’t see the potential there, but as a viewer seeing Caroline immediately interested in Stefan and being turned down, then her growing individually and them coming friendly, then Stefan being there for her during her transition, them becoming (I would say) best friends, and realizing (like Lexi did) that there is more than just “friendly” feelings there…It’s a great story, a great development. Most of it was accidental, but that doesn’t mean it came out of nowhere. Friends to lovers is my favorite trope, and I like that they have a strong foundation. There is trust there, something that is sadly lacking in a lot of the TVD relationships.

well that´s my least favorite trope of all time i actually respected tvd for their friendship but JP is running out of storylines so lets have caroline pine over a man who will reject her yeah good plan and by doing that ruining said friendsship. Can’t wait for Brooklyn 9-9 to return and to see what goes on on The Big Bang Theory. Super (pun intended!) excited about Arrow finally exploring Felicity Smoak. It’s high time we get her origin story and flesh her out. It should be a lots of fun to meet her parents. This plus all the Oliver/Felicity stuff showing up in commercials, in mags, etc., promises to make an already great show even better for it’s 3rd year!

Blacklist, can we please just get rid of Liz (major boring) and bring back Tom, keep Tom, please, please please. Whether they are in scenes together or not Tom and Red are SO much more interesting without her. I would take Caroline pining over Stefan, even though I would prefer a storyline for her that doesn’t revolve around a guy. But at least it would be something that doesnt involve Damon and Elena.I feel like last year all the characters on the show only existed to add to the drama of that relationship. The things I’ve heard about Stefan’s storyline so far sound good so I’m trying to be positive about it.

I was kinda hoping for a little more on Grimm the whole thing with the royals and Adalind and the missing baby is very interesting and also dying to see this new character who’s interested in finding Adalinds baby. Can’t wait for Grimm to start the fall season its going to be awesome!

God I just can’t with the Vampire Diaries and The Originals anymore. Julie Plec has destroyed everything that was awesome about these characters. Season 3 was the last good season. I just keep hoping that they will turn it around and yet all the do is plug forward with dud stories lines and major misogynistic crap. Kevin Williamson never should have left. I want to want to watch again, why can’t these people get that picture. write what works and stop giving Caroline crap love interests! her character is more than just a new love interest every season to fill time. So incredibly done with Nashville. I barely made it through Deacon’s stand in girlfriend last year. I really don’t understand the point of him proposing in the finale if they’re just going to have her stay with Luke. That’s not building angst, it’s just bad writing.

Rayna and Deacon getting back together was the only reason I was going to stick with Nashville into season 3. I’d rather watch glue dry than another season of she and Luke. Guess I’m finding a new Wednesday night show.

No official word on Crossbones, but the ratings are low enough that cancellation seems pretty certain.

Also nothing official on Under the Dome but ratings are high enough that I can’t imagine it being canceled.

Damn TVD… there I go reading the spoiler thinking Steroline is gonna happen, then I keep reading and nope. Steroline is so good, it needs to happen.

LOVE Stefan/Caroline but unless it’s a slow build and Stefan turns out to be in denial and by the second half of the season he admits he’s in love with her, I don’t want them to happen. Caroline Forbes deserves the best. She deserves someone who will put her FIRST, will choose her FIRST! End of story. I’m a Steroline fan, but if Stefan doesn’t care for her like that, move on and give her someone else or send her to the Originals. Don’t keep her on TVD if she’s just gonna be alone forever. Poor Caroline.

So most likely what will happen is Caroline will fall for Stefan and she will be more into him than he is to her and then when she finally decide to move on Stefan will decide that he does want her and will most likely result in another triangle. (Sorry for the run-on sentence) and I actually like the idea of them being endgame (which they probably are not) because it’s a nice callback to the first episode of Stefan saying they will never happen and I just think that would be a nice way to show how much they have all grown since then.

I totally agree ! It’s not beacause Stefan is not there yet that he never will be ! Elena didn’t love Damon as soon as he did ! Give him freaking time ! And yes TVD is a shipping fest but we can’t forget that it is a teen drama, those show are created for shipping, the supernatural storyline comes second, it isn’t new, it’s from season 1. If people don’t like it they had 5 seasons to realize it and stop watching the show.

I think Haley and Andy make perfect sense on Modern Family. They are basically the young Claire and Phill.
