The Rolling Stones Reggae and the Stones

How deep does reggae influence the Rolling Stones? Peter Tosh was the first artist on Rolling Stones records. Now Keith Richards is about to release an album of Rastafarian hymns. Are these just coincidences or were the Stones incorporate reggae into their sound? I’m not familiar enough with their catalog to have an opinion…just curious!

I'm not familiar enough with the Stones to comment on the influence of reggae on their music, but I do know that Tosh's duet with Mick Jagger, Don't Look Back, is one of the greatest SNL performances of all time! Check it out if you've never seen it.
