I really hope the film will open with Melanie running for her life, but I'm not sure if they'll have that in the film at all.
I've read The Host 9 times, so it's hard for me to find a scene that shouldn't be in the novel. It's all so important, yet I know they have to cut out some scenes... Hmm.. maybe the 'bonus chapter'...? But that's too important! :p
i think none of it will be in the film from what ive read it ha nothing to do with the book it some kind of horrer (how could they)its about some kind of river monster that leads humans to there death it eats them!(WHY!?WHY!?why!?)

That's just an old movie with the same name, honey. Don't worry it's got nothing to do with SM's novel.
the host is a large novel so sadly i think we can count on a lot of it being cut out. i hate that :( im thinking they'll probably cut out all the story telling bits where everyone listens to wanda talk about her lives.
