ANNABETH

I was a nervous wreck. We were meeting Percy and the rest of the Romans in one hour. The Argo II was flying over Nevada at the moment and I couldn’t relax. What if he didn’t remember me? What if he didn’t like me anymore? What if he found another girlfriend?
Suddenly I heard arguing between some of the campers. I went to investigate. This was not the time to be fighting. When I reached the lounge room, I saw Jason, Leo and Piper glaring at Clarisse La Rue, Travis and Conner Stoll, Katie Gardner, Will Solace, Rachel Dare, Jake Mason, Chris Rodriguez, and Grover Underwood.
“What are you doing?” I huffed; I really didn’t have time for this.
“Piper, Leo, and I want to know about Percy before we meet him, but they won’t tell us,” Jason said point/glaring at the Demigods, Satyr, and Oracle.
Before I could respond a wooden box appeared on the ground near my feet. I picked it up and looked inside. In the box were seven hardcover books. I recognized some of the titles on them. I was about to pick them up when suddenly everyone in the room fell through the floor into a patch of darkness unaware of where we’re going.
I tried to brace myself for a hard landing but luckily one never came. When I opened my eyes Clarisse, Travis, Conner, Katie, Will, Rachel, Jake, Chris, Grover, Jason, Leo, Piper, and I were all standing in an unfamiliar room. The room looked like one in a hotel. From what I could see there was a big kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and a couple bedrooms. I was about to ask what we were doing here when a note and the familiar wooden box of books appeared on the glass coffee table.
I picked up the note and read it aloud “Dear demigods, Oracle, and Satyr, We have frozen time and brought the nineteen of you here so you can read about Percy Jackson’s adventures. You have to read the books in this order: The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan’s Curse, The Battle of the Labyrinth, The Last Olympian, The Lost Hero, and The Son of Neptune. When you finish all seven books time will unfreeze and you will be returned to where you originally were. Read well, The Three Fates
“Those Fates must need glasses,” Leo muttered.
“Leo, I wouldn’t talk that way about them like that. There’s a reason why they’re called The Fates,” Piper warned.
“But it’s true. Look they even counted us wrong,” Leo continued.
“Wait, Leo, what are you talking about?” I asked.
“I know I may not be the best at math, but there are only thirteen of us here, not nineteen,” he explained.
A smile crossed everyone’s faces as they understood what might happen.
“Others are coming,” I said, thoroughly hoping that one is Percy.

PERCY

Frank, Hazel, Reyna, and I were all in the Principia discussing what we would do when the Argo II arrives, when suddenly we all fell out of our chairs and into a hole of dark nothingness. As we fell I heard a girlish scream that sounded like it came, suspiciously, from Frank. Usually a sixteen year old son of Mars wouldn’t make a noise like that but whatever floats his boat. I could feel myself land first on a wooden floor. Unfortunately, before I could do anything Hazel landed on top of me.
“Ow!” I screeched. “Hazel! Get off!”
“Sorry, Percy,” but before she could move another person, Reyna, landed on top of us.
“Seriously, why do I get the bottom!” I yelled.
Then again before anyone could react Frank fell on top of all of us. Spots appeared in my eyes from having this much weight on me.
“Frank!” I shouted. This guy seriously needs to lose a pound or two. “Get the-”
“Language!” Hazel growled at me.
“Fine, get the Hades OFF OF ME!” I shrieked.
Eventually, everyone got off of me. I breathed a sigh of relief when I was able to stand. I turned around and immediately noticed that we weren’t alone. I saw all of my old friends except for three teenagers who looked completely unfamiliar. But before we could do anything two more people appeared.

THALIA

I was really nervous about what was happening at the Roman Camp. The Argo II should be arriving there soon. I still can’t believe that Artemis wouldn’t let me go with them. I was especially nervous for Annabeth, I mean, Percy might not remember her. That would devastate her, but maybe if that happened I could finally have her become a Hunter.
Anyway, the Hunters and I were packing up our things when suddenly I fell though the ground into a vast, empty, dark unknown.
As I fell I screamed, “I really hate heights!”

NICO

I can’t believe I got captured. Note to self: Next time you want to find the entrance to the Doors of Death to impress your dad, don’t. Hopefully, Percy can save me, if anybody can, it’s him. Except, I wouldn’t be surprised if he attacks me with Riptide right after he saves me. I mean I would deserve it of course. I didn’t tell him who he was when I should have.
This cave is depressing. There’s nothing to do, all I have to do all day is think. I hate thinking, it’s never helped me in the past and it’ll never help me in the future.
“Please, Zeus,” I pleaded. “If you have someone rescue me then I’ll be your servant for a month.”
Looks like I better grab my apron because suddenly I fell though the ground with nothing to scream but “AAAHHH!!!!!!!!”
Luckily for me I landed on something comfortable. Unluckily for Thalia, it was her.
“Geez, Death Breath!” She screeched. “Have you taken a shower or put on deodorant lately? You stink!”
“Sorry, I was captured by Gaea,” I told her. “She doesn’t exactly have Class A room service in her prisons, you know!”
“She probably sent you back because you were stinking up the place!” Thalia grumbled. “Now GET OFF!”
I stood up and gave her my hand. She took it and stood up. We turned around only to see seventeen other people watching us.

Nice. I guess I'm posting next. I'll spread this forum to my awesome fans. I'll post tom. I gotz to sleep. It's 12:16 A.M where i live.

When Hazel, Reyna, and two other people appeared, the person with jet black hair cried, "Frank! Get the-" But before he could finish Hazel interjected. "Language." I thought the boy would just show some mighty strength, but he just said. "Get the Hades off of me." They all stood up. Before I or Annabeth could say anything, two people appeared. One of the people was Thalia and the other was an emo dude. They turned towards us.
"Thalia!" I shrieked.
"Jason!" Thalia said. She came over to me and gave me a hug.
"Awww," The emo boy mock cooed. "Look at the happy couple."
"Shut it Nico before I give you a burn for about 5 weeks." Thalia said, giving him death glare.
"Well you're so happy," Nico said, mockenly "I don't want to ruin that. Hey wait aren't you a Hunter of Artemis?"
"THALIA!" Leo shouted, fidgeting with some ropes. He was tied to a chair.
"Yeah, so what Nico? Leo if you get out of there, I will shoot you with an arrow." Thalia said, gripping her bow.
"So why are you hugging the boy?" Nico asked.
"He's my brother. You idiot."
"Oh, so I'm gonna know if he's your brother."
"Shut up"
"You."
"No you."
"No"
"Yes"
"No"
"Yes."
"SHUT UP!" The boy with the black hair shouted. "Things haven't changed have they? Why are we here?"
"We are here to learn about your adventures." Leo said, trying to untangle the ropes."
"Ok, so why Nico, Thalia, and I here?"
"Well I don't know."
"Can we just read?" Annabeth asked.
"Annabeth!"
"Percy!" They ran towards eachtother.
"So are we gonna learn your names or not?" I asked. "I'm Jason Grace."
"I'm Frank Zhang." The chubby kid said.
"Hazel Levesque, but you already know that." Hazel said.
"Reyna(does Reyna have a last name?)." Reyna said, looking at me.
"Nico Diangelo at your service captain." Nico said.
"Hey, you look familiar." I said. "Did you bring Hazel to Camp Jupiter?" I asked.
"Yes, yes I did." Nico said.
"Hey! You ripped of Phienas and Ferb!" Leo said. "I'm Leo Valdez by the way."
"Piper McLean." Piper said, looking at me also.
"Thalia Grace." Thalia said.
"Percy Jackson." Percy said.
"My name is Annabeth Chase." Annabeth introduced. After introducing the others and warning them Connor, Travis, or Chris will steal and or prank you. Also making a contract that you will not kill them.
"Let's get on with the first book." I said, picking it up. " Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Who wants to read first?" No hands went up. "Fine, I'll read first. Chapter 1: I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-algebra Teacher,"

“No,” Percy groaned, interrupting Jason. “I don’t want you guys to know every thought or secret I’ve ever had.”
“Blackmail!” Conner and Travis grinned at each other.
“Yeah, I agree we should read,” Nico said. “We can finally see what goes on inside your head!”
Percy glared at him but stayed quiet, so Jason took that as I sign to start reading.
“Chapter 1. I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-Algebra Teacher,” Jason read again.
“You were in pre-algebra?”asked Thalia.
“You know, I’ve gotten a lot better at math since then,” Percy defended.
“Yeah, because you’re dating Annabeth,” Nico reasoned.
Percy and Annabeth blushed while everyone else laughed.
“Let’s start,” Jason urged.
Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood.
“Does anybody?” Piper asked.
Percy shrugged.
If you’re reading this because you think that you might be one, my advice is:
“Oh no,” Nico said scared. “He’s giving advice, hurry plug your ears!”
Nico, Travis, Conner, Leo, and Chris all did this.
“Why-” Jason started.
“Well, the advice that Kelp Head over here gives, it’s usually a good way to be killed,” Thalia explained.
“Hey!” Percy demanded. “I’m here, aren’t I?”
“Yeah, but no one really know how,” Katie reasoned.
Percy crossed his arms in defeat.
Close this book right now. Believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth, and try to lead a normal life.
“That actually sounds like pretty good advice,” Piper thought aloud.
“Thank you!” Percy exclaimed. “Not all of my ideas get someone killed.”
“Nope, just most of them,” Nico earned himself a glare form Percy.
Being a half-blood is dangerous.
“No, it’s perfectly safe,” Jake rolled his eyes.
“No it’s not,” Leo said not catching the sarcasm.
*Cue face palm and a hit in the head form Piper*
It’s scary.
“Wimp!” Clarisse said looking at him.
“I wouldn’t be talking Clarisse,” Percy shot back. “You still haven’t gotten me back for that little toilet fiasco.”
Clarisse looked outraged but stayed quiet. All of the demigods who were there started cracking up, everyone else just looked confused.
“What are you talking about?” Hazel asked.
“You’ll find out in the book,” Percy told them.
Most of the time, it gets you killed in painful, nasty ways.
A lot of the demigods stayed quiet remembering all of the friends that’s happened to.
If you’re a normal kid, reading this because you think it’s fiction, great. Read on. I envy you for being able to believe that none of this ever happened.
“Don’t we all,” Will muttered.
Everyone nodded this time.
But if you recognize yourself in these pages-if you feel something stirring inside-stop reading immediately. You might be one of us. And once you know that, it’s only a matter of time before they sense it too, and they’ll come for you.
“They?” Leo wondered.
*Cue another face palm*
“The monsters, you idiot,” Piper said.
“Oh,” Leo blushed, embarrassed at how obvious it was.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
“You didn’t warn me!” Nico screamed at Percy.
“I was a bit busy at the time,” Percy told him.
Nico rolled his eyes.
My name is Percy Jackson.
“No,” Thalia teased. “We thought it was Peter Johnson.”
“You should know Theodora,” Percy said using the name that their camp director gave her.
“What are you talking about?”Frank asked.
“At Camp Half-Blood, our old camp director refused to know anyone’s correct name,” Conner explained.
“Yeah, Carol,” Percy joked.
Everyone laughed at that.
“He was really bad with names,” Conner/Carol muttered.
I’m twelve years old. Until a few months ago, I was a boarding school student at Yancy Academy, a private school for troubled kids in upstate New York. Am I a troubled kid?
The room was chorused with a lot of “Yeah” and “Yes.”
Percy nodded in agreement.
Yeah. You could say that.
“You even agree with yourself,” Chris said laughing.
“I’ve been a fugitive all throughout America. I’m not going to deny that I’m troubled,” Percy explained.
I could start at any point of my short miserable life to prove it., but things really started going bad last May, when our sixth grade class took a field trip to Manhattan-twenty-eight mental-case kids and two teachers on a yellow school bus,
“Did you just call yourself a mental-case kid?” Jason asked confused.
“You’ll find out why,” Percy muttered.
“Hey!” Grover spoke up. “I was in that class! You’re calling me a mental-case too!”
Percy didn’t dare meet his best friend’s eyes.
Heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to look at ancient Greek and Roman stuff.
“Stuff?” Annabeth demanded. “That is not just stuff, Seaweed Brain!”
“Yes, but this was before I knew that all of this stuff was real!” Percy explained.
Annabeth just shook her head at her boyfriend.
“To me,” Travis said, “that sounds like torture.”
“No, it doesn’t,” Annabeth disagreed.
Thalia snorted at the next sentence. I know-it sounds like torture.
Everyone cracked up. Percy wouldn’t meet Annabeth’s eyes who were glaring at him.
“Look’s like Percy doesn’t agree with you there,” Rachel said between laughs.
Most Yancy field trips were.
“Got that right,” Grover agreed.
But Mr. Brunner, our Latin teacher, was leading this trip, so I had hopes.
“A waste of hopes, Perce,” Grover said shaking his head.
“I know, I know,” Percy said while giving a deep sigh.

Mr.Brunner was this middle-aged guy in a motorized wheelchair. He had a thinning hair and a scruffy beard and a frayed tweed jacked,
"You know this guy sounds familiar," Leo said thinking. Everyone face palmed expect for Reyna, Hazel and Frank who had no idea what Leo was saying.
"It's Chiron you moron!" Piper shouted.
"Oh," Leo said.
which always smelled like coffee.
"Coffee is good," Connor said dreamily.
You wouldn't think he'd be cool, but he told stories and jokes and let us play games in class. He also had this awesome collection of Roman armor and weapons,
"HE HAD WEAPONS IN HIS CLASSROOM!" Connor, Travis, Chris, Will and Leo shout. "AWESOME!"
so he was the only teacher whose class didn't put me to sleep.
"You slept during class?" Annabeth asked.
"Well yeah," Percy said. "I remember one dream I had-"
"Yeah, I don't wanna hear it."
"I bet you when Annabeth is teaching you Greek mythology, you fall asleep." Nico said, ignoring Annabeth's glare.
"I wish I could say no." Percy stated.Annabeth punched Percy in the arm. "What?"
Annabeth rolled her eyes.
I hoped the trip would be okay. At least, I hoped that for once I wouldn't get in trouble.
"Wrong," Nico said.
"Totally untrue." Thalia agreed.
"Nice to know that you guys trust me." Percy mumbled.
"Well it's just you know,you." Thalia explained.
"You guys act like a family." Reyna said.
"We've been told that." Nico said, Thalia and Percy nodded.
Boy was I wrong
"Told you!" Nico said.
"Nobody argued with you," Leo pointed out. Nico gave him a death glared and Leo cowered in his seat.
See, bad things happen to me on field trips. Like at my fifth-grade school, when we went to the Saratoga battlefield, I had this accident with a Revolutionary War cannon.
"BATHROOM BREAK!" Leo shouted, running towards the bathroom.

When everyone was back from their bathroom break and Nico was out of the shower (Percy made him take one) they were all ready to continue reading.
“Where were we?” Jason asked picking up the book.
“My fifth-grade field trip,” Percy muttered.
“Oh, yeah,” Jason remembered.
See, bad things happen to me on field trips. Like at my fifth-grade school, when we went to the Saratoga battlefield, I had this accident with a Revolutionary war cannon. I wasn’t aiming for the school bus, but of course I got expelled anyway.
Everyone cracked up.
“Dude, seriously?” Travis laughed.
Conner had fallen out of his chair from laughing so hard.
And before that, at my fourth-grade school, when we took a behind-the-scenes tour of the Marine World shark pool, I sort of hit the wrong lever and the class took an unplanned swim.
Everyone laughed even harder, except for Percy who was blushing majorly.
“How are you not our brother?” Travis asked between laughs.
“You would be an awesome prankster,” Conner agreed.
“Or thief,” Chris offered.
“Don’t even think about it!” Annabeth’s eyes were murderess.
“Too late for that,” Percy muttered.
“What?” Annabeth yelled.
“You’ll find out,” Percy told her. “Continue please.”
And the time before that . . . Well, you get the idea.
“No we don’t, please continue,” Nico said between gasps of breath.
“Hades no,” Percy denied.
This trip, I was determined to be good.
“Yeah, that’ll happen,” Thalia scoffed.
“Can we please not comment on every single sentence,” Annabeth pleaded. “Or else we’ll never finish this chapter.”
Everyone nodded and stayed quiet as Jason read more.
All the way into the city, I put up with Nancy Bobofit, the freckly, redheaded, kleptomaniac girl, hitting my best friend Grover in the back of the head with chunks of peanut butter-and-ketchup sandwich.
“EW!” Annabeth, Hazel, Piper, and Katie all squealed. Reyna, Thalia, and Clarisse all looked disgusted but didn’t say anything.
Grover was an easy target.
“Hey! I am not!” Grover argued.
“You were back then.” Percy said trying not to laugh.
He was scrawny. He cried when he got frustrated. He must’ve been held back several grades, because he was the only sixth grader with acne and the start of a wispy beard on his chin. On top of all that, he was crippled.
Laughter and snorting filled the room.
“Nice way to build up my self-esteem there, Perce,” Grover muttered looking hurt.
Percy almost tried hiding behind Annabeth but it didn’t work he was laughing too hard.
“Oh calm down, Grover,” Will said defending Percy. “It was funny.”
“Yeah? Well I can’t wait until he describes all of you,” Grover scowled. “Then we’ll see how funny it is.”
Jason snorted and continued to read: He had a not excusing him from PE for the rest of his life because he had some kind of muscular disease in his legs. He walked funny, like every step hurt him, but don’t let that fool you.
Everyone stayed silent in anticipation of what he’d say next.
You should’ve seen it run when it was enchilada day in the cafeteria.
Everyone cracked up again.
“Great way to blow your cover, Goat Boy,” Thalia laughed shaking her head.
“What? Enchiladas are good!” Grover argued.

Third Person PoV(Alot shorter than I expected.... hmmm, whatever, couldn't fine meh book.)

"NO!" Leo shouted "NO HE ISN'T GOOD!"
Everyone looked at Leo in confusion then Jason and Piper smacked their forehead and groaned.
"Enceladus! Leo! Enceladus!" Jason said, and everyone went 'oh', like when a teacher explains something and you finally get after the second time.
"I feel so stupid!" Leo exclaimed.
"Your always stupid." Nico pointed out.
"Yeah, HEY! You just met me though."
"Yes, but I can already tell your stupid."
"Nico is not nice to me." Leo pouted.
"Nico is not nice to a lot of people." Thalia said.
"I wish I could argue but I have nothing so continue." Nico said.
"Uh, I can't." Jason said.
"Why not?" Percy asked.
"1: Connor or Travis or Chris stole the book. 2: I can't find Connor, Travis, and Chris."
Percy groaned. "I guess we'll have to wait."
"No shi-" Thalia almost said.
"LANGUAGE!" Hazel shouted.
"Fine, no styx Sherlock." Thalia grumbled. Hazel seemed please.

Anyway, Nancy Bobofit was throwing wads of sandwich that stuck in his curly brown hair, and she knew that I couldn’t do anything back to her because I was already on probation.
“What did you do?” Travis and Conner said in mock disappointment.
“I didn’t do anything,” Percy said innocently.
This time it was Grover’s turn to laugh. “You call spray-painting the words (censored) (censored) (censored) (censored) in Nancy Bobofit’s dorm room nothing?”
Conner and Travis looked like they wanted to start bowing to Percy.
“Percy!” Annabeth scolded. “I can’t believe you did that!”
“If you had met her, you would have done that too,” Percy told her not looking ashamed one bit.
“It’s official!” Chris announced. “Percy’s the King!”
Travis, Conner, Chris, Leo, and Jake all began clapping and bowing.
Percy rolled his eyes and muttered, “Continue.”
The headmaster had threatened me with death by in-school suspension if anything bad, embarrassing, or even mildly entertaining happened on this trip. “I’m going to kill her,” I mumbled.
“Please do!” Everyone who was a friend of Grover’s yelled.
Clarisse chanted, “DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!”
Grover tried to calm me down. “It’s okay. I like peanut butter.”
“No you don’t!” Thalia disagreed. “That’s Tyson.”
Everyone who’s seen that Cyclopes eat those things nodded.
“He sure can eat,” Nico agreed.
He dodged another piece of Nancy’s lunch. “That’s it.” I started to get up,
“YES!” Clarisse cheered.
But Grover pulled me back to my seat.
“Why would you do that?” Clarisse whined.
“You’ll see,” Grover muttered.
“You’re already on probation,” he reminded me. “You know who’ll get blamed if anything happens.” Looking back on it, I wish I’d decked Nancy Bobofit right then and there. In-school suspension would’ve been nothing compared to the mess I was about to get myself into.
Nico snorted. “Got that right.”
“Why? What’s going to happen?” Jason asked.
“You’ll see,” Percy told him.
Mr. Brunner led the museum tour. He rode up front in his wheelchair, guiding us through the big echoey galleries, past marble statues and glass cases full of really old black-and-orange pottery.
“And you call that stuff,” Annabeth shook her head disappointed.
“Uh oh, Percy’s in trouble!” Conner and Travis sang.
“I’m always in trouble,” Percy said as if it was nothing.
“Got that right,” Annabeth mumbled.
It blew my mind that this stuff had survived for two thousand, three thousand years.
“Longer than that,” Piper and Annabeth said together.
“Athena?” Percy asked Rachel nodding at Piper.
“Aphrodite,” Rachel whispered back.
Percy looked surprised but nodded.
He gathered us around a thirteen-foot-tall stone column with a big sphinx on the top, and started telling us how it was a grave marker, a stele, for a girl about our age. He told us about the carvings on the sides. I was trying to listen to what he had to say,
“There’s a first,” Thalia laughed.
Percy glared at her.
Because it was actually kind of interesting,
“Oh my gods!” Nico said with mock surprise. “Percy thinks that something, besides Annabeth, is interesting.”
Everyone cracked up, while Annabeth and Percy blushed.
“That’s it,” Percy got up and began chasing Nico throughout the different rooms.
“Percy!” Hazel called after him. “Don’t kill my brother!”
“Aw, why not?” Percy whined.
“PERCY!” Hazel scolded.
“Fine,” Percy reluctantly agreed.
They were about to start reading again when suddenly they heard Nico yelling and cursing at Percy. Percy burst into the room holding Nico’s clothes. He ran over to the window, opened it, and threw the T-shirt, jeans, and sneaker to the world below. Everyone gaped at what he had just done.
“Is Nico naked?” Thalia said grossed out.
Percy nodded. “I love revenge.”
“PERSEUS JACKSON!” We heard Nico yell from one of the bedrooms. “YOU GIVE ME BACK MY CLOTHES RIGHT THIS INSTANT!”
“Sorry, Nico, but your clothes aren’t here,” Percy answered back simply.
“PERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

O_O ^ OMG! Why would he do such a thing to Nico! @ least it wasn't Leo... Then I'd be mad. I joke. Nice post!!!!

Nico charged in the room. Everyone closed their eyes. "I'm gonna ask you one more time Jackson. Give. Me. Back. My. Clothes. Or you're gonna see the Underworld three times." Nico said, gritting his teeth.
"What don't you mean two times?" Annabeth asked.
"You haven't told your girlfriend about our little trip?" Nico asked.
Percy shook his head.
"Nico just get some clothes on." Annabeth said.
"I don't know where my clothes are." Nico responded. Suddenly Nico's clothes appeared. Nico hurried in the bathroom and changed into them. He came out. “Who wants to read next?” Jason asked. “All this starting and stopping is giving me a headache.”
“I will,” Nico volunteered.
But everybody around me was talking, and every time I told them to shut up, the other teacher chaperone, Mrs. Dodds, would give me the evil eye.
“That’s why you called her that?” Nico asked Percy.
“Yup,” Percy said popping the p.
Mrs. Dodds was this little math teacher from Georgia who always wore a black leather jacket, even though she was fifty years old. She looked mean enough to ride a Harley right into your locker. She had come to Yancy halfway through the year, when our last math teacher had a nervous breakdown.
“Nervous breakdown my furry butt,” Grover muttered.
“What do you think even happened to Mrs. Fox,” Percy asked.
“Either Mrs. Dodds ate her, killed her, or the gods did something to her with the mist,” Grover guesses.
From her first day, Mrs. Dodds loved Nancy Bobofit and figured I was devil spawn.
“Not quite,” Thalia muttered. “Nico is devil spawn, Percy is sea spawn.”
“HEY!” Nico and Percy both yelled.
She would point her crooked finger at me and say, “Now, honey,” real sweet, and I knew I was going to get after-school detention for a month.
“I’ve done longer,” Conner, Travis, Chris, and Leo muttered while nodding.
One time, after she’d made me erase answers out of old math workbooks until midnight, I told Grover I didn’t think Mrs. Dodds was human. He looked at me, real serious, and said, “You’re absolutely right.”
Annabeth, Thalia, and Nico groaned, while Percy just shook his head.
“Excellent way to blow your cover, Goat Boy,” Thalia muttered.
“Dude, you know Perce was kidding, right?” Will told him.
“Yes, I knew that,” Grover said. “I just thought I’d tell him the truth.”
“Yeah, one truth in a year long friendship, that’s nice Grover,” Percy muttered. “I can feel the love.”
Grover didn’t say anything so Nico continued: Mr. Brunner was talking about Greek funeral art. Finally, Nancy Bobofit snickered something about the naked guy on the stele, and I turned around and said, “Will you shut up?” It came out louder than I meant it to.
“Real smooth, Percy,” Rachel chuckled with everyone else.
“It was hilarious,” Grover informed them.
The whole group laughed. Mr. Brunner stopped his story. “Mr. Jackson,” he said. “Did you have a comment?” My face was totally red. “I said, “No, sir.”
“Remember how red their faces were when we threw them in the lake?” Katie asked.
“It looked like someone spilled red paint on their faces,” Clarisse muttered.
“So, Annabeth, how red was Percy’s face under the water?” Thalia asked.
“Thalia!” Percy and Annabeth yelled.
“Your right you both probably had your eyes closed,” Thalia muttered laughing.
“Hey! Look! Percy’s face is turning different colors,” Nico pointed out.
Everyone but Piper, Jason, Leo, Frank, Hazel, and Reyna cracked up.
“What are you talking about?” Frank asked.
“You’ll see,” Grover nodded towards the fifth book.
Mr. Brunner pointed to one of the pictures on the stele. “Perhaps you’ll tell us what this picture represents?” I looked at the carving, and felt a flush of relief, because I actually recognized it.
“There’s a first,” Thalia muttered.
“Wow, you guys are such good cousins to each other,” Piper muttered sarcastically.
“I know, aren’t they,” Percy shook his head.
“That’s Kronos eating his kids, right?” “Yes,” Mr. Brunner said, obviously not satisfied. “And he did this because . . .”
“Seaweed Brain, if you get this wrong, I swear I am going to make my mother teach you,” Annabeth told her boyfriend.
“You’ll have to read to find out,” Percy muttered.
“Well . . .” I racked my brain to remember. “Kronos was the King god, and-”
“GOD?!” Everyone asked in disbelief.
“Even I know he’s not a god,” Leo pointed out.
“You defeated this so called ‘god.’ How could you get that wrong?” Clarisse asked shocked.
“Keep reading and you’ll see me correct myself,” Percy informed them.
“God?” Mr. Brunner asked. “Titan,” I corrected myself. “And . . . he didn’t trust his kids, who were the gods. So, um, Kronos ate them, right. But his wife hid baby Zeus, and gave Kronos a rock to eat instead. And later, when Zeus grew up, he tricked his dad, Kronos, into barfing up his brothers and sisters-” “Eeew!” said one of the girls behind me.
All of the girls shrugged it off since they’ve heard worse.
“-and so there was this big fight between the gods and the Titans,” I continued, “and the gods won.”
“Wow,” Chris exclaimed looking at Percy. “You just put a history of a war that lasted years, into about four sentences.”
“He he, yup,” Percy nodded proudly. “I got skill.”
