I was wondering if anyone could tell me, why does Castiel keep chastising Dean for wanting to put/putting Sam's soul back in his body.

Okay so this really baffles me and I was really hoping someone could shed some light on it because the way I'm thinking about it makes absolutely no sense.

The way I see it Sam the Mandroid was NOT Sammy because Sammy is ALL soul and that soul was enduring unbearable torture in Hell, so Samdroid while amusing was totally not Sam. Got it? Not Sam. Anyway, while the real Sammy is being Michael/Lucifer's menggerutu, jalang in the Cage (pardon my language) this Samdroid is running free without a soul to guide him which is extremely dangerous for well Bobby clearly as well as the other 6 billion people inhabiting the planet. But not only that Sammy the REAL one is in Hell. So isn't it better to get Sam's soul out of Hell and let the torture stop even if it messes him up a little (or maybe a lot, but hopefully not) rather than let him spend ETERNITY in Hell being tortured and becoming less and less of the Sammy we all know and love?

Is it just me that feels that way? Can someone explain to me why Castiel seems to think it would be better to let Sam's "vessel" for lack of a better word roam around aman, brankas while his "essence" (which happens to be Cas' friend and his best friends brother) is being tortured endlessly...because like I berkata I'm baffled.

I think its becouse Cass knows what will happen n how bad it would effect Sam.
He cares about both of the winchester boys n maybe he thinks (or knows ) that it would mess them BOTH up.
if sam would happen to be as tortured as cass thinks what would that do to Dean knowing that he put his brother through that, just so he himself could be happy. but on the other hand I do hope they get it back I just wanna slap this soulless Sam n tell him to snap out of it lol

It may not seem like it, but Cas is trying to tell Dean that it is better for Sam to have no soul than to have his soul back from the cage. Not only does he have to become 'used' to having a soul again, but Micheal and Lucifer have had nothing to do but take out all of their rage on him. The soul will have gone through a much lebih difficult and crippling time than if Dean had never gotten off the rack

I think because Cas know what could happen if he gets his soul back. We don't know how much his soul is messed up beeing in cage such a long time. He cares about both brothers but lebih about Dean because lets face Dean will be really ..he just wouldn't deal with that if it's his fault, because we don't know what Sam will remember..
