Narrated Ibn 'Umar (radiyallaahu 'anhu):
Allah's Messenger (salallaahu 'alaihi wa'sallam) said:
islam is based on (the following) five (principles):

1.To testify that La ilaha ill-Allah wa anna Muhammad-ar-Rasul Allah
(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).

2.Iqaamat-as-Salat [to offer the (compulsory congregational salat (prayers) dutifully and perfectly].

3.To pay Zakat.

4.To perform Hajj (i.e pilgrimage to Makka).

5.To observe Saum [fasts (according to islamic teachings)] during the bulan of Ramadan.

Salamalaikum Warahmtullah Wabarakatahu....

"So strive as in a race in good deeds." [ QURAN 5:48]

1. "The most beloved of deeds according to Allah (GOD) are the continuous ones, even if they are little." [Agreed upon]

2. "The most beloved fast according to Allah is the fast of Dawud (Prophet David Peace be upon him); he would fast every alternate day. The most beloved prayer according to Allah is the prayer of Dawud; he would sleep half the night, stand a third and then sleep for a sixth." [Agreed upon]

Avoiding Argumentation

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

“Whoever does not argue when he is in the wrong will have a halaman awal built for him on the edge of Paradise.
*
Whoever avoids it when he is in the right will have a halaman awal built for him in the middle of Paradise.
*
And whoever improves his own character, a halaman awal will be built for him in the highest part of Paradise.” [Tirmidhi]

Arguing with people is strongly discouraged in Islam. We are to state our point of view and then leave it at that. Nor are we to involve ourselves in matters that do not affect a person’s deen. Note that a person is to shun argument...
