Susan Marshall cannot use her voice to speak and she cannot pindah her arms and legs due to the effects of Lou Gehrig's disease, but she still made it clear that for her upcoming Bat Mitzvah – she's having it later in life at 53 – she wants Steven Tyler of Aerosmith to perform.
Marshall, a resident of Menorah Park's Fairmount Pavilion, tapped out her request on a tiny computer using a device attached to her forehead. Tyler's parents, she explained, had been at her parents' wedding. There was a family connection.
