south park Trey Parker's Cannibal! The Musical in Long Beach, CA

Before South Park and Team America--and yes, even before Baseketball-- a man with a horse and a dream braved the Colorodo wilderness to bring the story of Alfred Packer to life. If you love Oklahoma!, then you'll hate The Garage Theatre's first attempt at musical theatre. Please prepare yourself for the musical, written by the hilarious Trey Parker, that The New York Times says "It's all pretty stupid, but at times, there are refreshingly ludicrous notes that even people old enough to see this movie without a guardian can appreciate. One approach: Imagine the film taking place in "South Park" animation. If Cartman were ripping that man's arm off and eating it, it might be cute. " One can only imagine why The Garage Theatre couldn't help themselves in making this production their first (official) musical as a company. Blood, guts, cannibalism, musical numbers, and a love story involving a horse. It's like gold ready to be mined.

The Garage Theatre is tickled PINK to present Cannibal! The Musical by Trey Parker beginning July 24th and ending on August 22nd, 2009. The run will consist of Thursday, Friday, & Saturday night performances @ 8pm. Tickets are $20 opening and closing nights, $18 general admission, and $15 for students, seniors, & teachers. The Garage Theatre is located at 251 E. 7th St. in the BEAUTIFUL Long Beach, CA. To buy tickets visit www.thegaragetheatre.org
