Does it infuriate anda when people say "That's so gay" to describe something bad?


Last week, the GSA (gay/strait alliance)actually hung up posters that berkata things like "That's so jock" and "That's so cheerleader" on them.
People were actually very offended and started tearing them down, and than the principles berkata that they couldn't try that again.

Why can't people just stick with "that sucks" instead of something offensive?

I think it's just that people don't like me, so they laporan my answers. I don't even think the mods read the jawaban being reported before they hapus them. It's annoying. If someone has a problem with me, I'd rather them confront me. :/

I am not fooled oleh that. Why would anda use the word happy to describe something bad? Gay does mean happy, but it also means homosexual, and using it in a negitave way is offensive.

I am honestly not offended oleh "That's so gay" even though I'm bisexual. My reasons why are a whole other topic, cannot be expressed in the briefest ways, and from seeing how passionate people can be about subjects like this someone may misunderstand my words.

What I will say is that although "That's so gay" doesn't bother me, I don't really like it that much either. It doesn't make much sense to me, and I have difficulty understanding how the definition of this world has evolved to "stupid".

So my secara keseluruhan, keseluruhan opinion; Not completely against it, but for it if that would make sense?

CONFESSION: I'll admit, I used to think that people made too big of a deal of this problem. But I do try to be open-minded, and if others are truly taking offense to this, I'll consider their tampilan on it.

Listen, I don't care about others that much. No offense to any gay, but the only thing that I care for is that I don't use this word as an expression for fun to offend them. :)

I get that. But with people like me, its hard to say "This is stupid" and not ask why. The reason there is so much hate in the world is because there is ignorance. If people would just educated themselves atau maybe just take others into consideration, we wouldn't have this problem. However...

I'm in my school's SAGA club (Straight And Gay Alliance) and we discuss this issue a lot there. My brother and his friends say it, and this group of people on my bus always say faggot and the n-word, both incredibly offensive terms. I want to stand up, but I've been bullied plenty oleh that group.

I'm sure anda won't need to do anything about. I bet either someone else will tell them not to, atau they will just get bored with saying that sort of stuff and stop.

One of my friends is a lesbian, she doesn't have a lot of confidence, so everytime she hears those three words, it makes her feel like an outsider, like she doesn't belong, that she'll never find love. She's amazing, and people can't help the way they are, it's how we're born.
