1. They share royal roots.Both Dianas share a namesake with the Roman goddess of the hunt – and childhood homes set in gorgeous locales. In her tropical homeland of Themyscira, Wonder Woman is known by her birth name, Princess Diana. When she travels beyond her Amazonian nation – which, incidentally, is populated and governed entirely by women with a distinct disdain for men – she is known by her alias, Diana Prince. (See what she did there?) Her mother is Hippolyta, the Amazonian queen from Greek mythology.

Princess Diana – whose childhood was rooted in bucolic Sandringham – acquired her title when she married Prince Charles. Her mother, Frances Shand Kydd, had royal roots that traced back to Ireland in the 16th century.
