Here's how I am planning to do it:

People who want to participate post their top 10 favorite characters here. In about 1 month I will take the lists and give points depending on which position a character is placed. So if Frodo is placed 1st on somebody's list, he'll get 10 points. If Gandalf is 2nd, he'll get 9 points and so on. The character on position 10 will get 1 point. After that I'll calculate all the points and see which character gets the most points out of all lists that were posted.

Only one character per place is allowed. So for example if you put both Merry and Pippin in one position, then your comment will not be counted.

Really there are no characters in LOTR that could be hated. Everyone is good. Even bad guys aren't really bad.... I mean think about it, Sauron would count as a good guy, or in worst case as an indifferent guy in Game Of Thrones.

I DON'T HATE ANY OF THE CHARACTERS IN LOTR. THEY ALL ARE VERY IMPORTANT CHARACTERS FOR THE STORY.
